LEGO Movie

Let me start with this quote:
ArchAngel wrote:The LEGO Movie was absolutely fantastic. I tried to keep my expectations down when I went in, but I naturally wanted it to be great and it more than met them. It started off a little standard-comedy for me, but it crescendo-ed wonderfully. It captured so much of what we love about LEGO and why we love it, both on the surface of the appeal of the construction set, but on a deeper emotional level on why we create and why these resonate with us so much in our childhood as well as our adulthood.

This pretty much sums it up. I just say it last night and I about died from the FEEEEELLLLSSSS.

...

So, uh, anyone else go see it and feel nostalgic? >_>

I loved it. Even if it didn't have all them nostalgic feels, I'd still love it just because of how hilarious it was.

I need some kind of an excuse to see this movie. I'd have done it by now, except I can't get rid of that "it's a kid's movie" stigma.

*shrug* I'm 21 and I took my girlfriend to go see it.

Heh. I'm older than Soup.

Myself, I'll probably wait for DVD.

That said, it'll be a hard wait because dad gum, this looks amazing. XD

I'll probably wait for bluray, we don't go to movies very often

It's a great movie! It turned out hilarious! With adult humor (not immoral adult humor) and kid humor! I would recommend it to anyone!

At first I thought they had done the movie as Stop-Motion, but I realized it was animated. I can't imagine doing those huge sets in stop motion, it would take forever! :)

Yeah, I love how the animation included some choppy-stop motion lego-esque movements.

I'm 28 and by far not the oldest who loved this movie.

In the words of a college buddy: "If you do not see this movie I will hate you."
Not even a joke.

For those who have seen the movie, the spaceship scene was not only my favorite scene in the movie, but easily one of my favorites in all cinematic history. It's up their with the Rohirrim charge on Helm's Deep.

That's all you had to say!

There truly isn't anything better than Charlie Day yelling "SPACESHIP"

I do plan on seeing it, although probably not in a movie theater.
So... I'll probably wait for Redbox to get it.

Though with all I just heard from this topic, I think'll quote Chozen.

Alas you know not the full story,
I am waiting because I want to watch it with my brother,
as I don't expect a theater showing to line up with his schedule.
He's even more hyped about this movie than I am.

Besides to watch it without him would be to watch it in vain,
as he has always been there through my Lego journey,
it would just be wrong to watch it without him.

...valid enough? :P
