This was my first X-Wing:
Later, after this one broke (The way the wings attached was somewhat fragile and prone to breaking) I got the Empire Strikes Back re-release which was the same toy but with a tinted canopy, black engine nacelle intake pieces, a light gray plastic instead of straight white body, and battle damage stickers which were applied over the basic stickers:
Kickin' it old school.
Not even the pod race...

A friend of mine had an X-wing similar, although for the life of me I just can't think of what model/brand it was. I could never find one in stores for some reason, but I did get my hands on a sweet Y-wing to pick up the Heavy role
