The Secret of the Fortune Wookie is what I'm reading now and would recommend. They are the Star Wars Origami books. Fun to read and create the paper characters. I'm reading Harry Potter #6 now, too.

I would recommend reading the Eleventh Plague. It's sort of an adventure/love story set in the post-apocalyptic world of the United States. It's a really good book and most of the time I don't read a book unless it has a decent plot to it. If you ever get the chance, please do. It's awesome! :D

If you are in to Sci-fi, The Dune series by Frank Herbert is considered to be the Sci-fi genre's LOTR.

I read a lot, (mainly fantasy) and these are a few that I enjoyed

The Kingkiller Chronicles*
The Wheel of Time
The Stormlight Archive*
The Dresden Files**
Odd Thomas
Mistborn (the first, I haven't read the others yet)
The Lord of the Rings and any other Tolkien books
Enders Game
* Unfinished (not done being written)
**Unfinished, but worth starting now anyways

There are a ton of others that I will probably think of seconds after posting this, but these are some of my favorites.

it kinda depends on the age group, but i think a lot of people would enjoy the left behind series (the kids one) it may be long but it is really cool. for girls in grade 6 to grade 12 i think Holly's heart is a great book (there are 3 and i recommend reading them all) it teaches young women how to overcome certain challenges that most all girls would experience at that age. for me i also noticed i was more interested in using my spiritual gift, evangelism (it means preaching in places other then a church)

i hope you like the books, they are really good. :)

The Hobbit is a great book for all ages in my opinion. Just finished reading it, and I can honestly say it's one of the best books I've ever read, and you'd like it too if you enjoy "medieval" fantasy.

I would strongly recommend every one read 'Crime & Punishment' by Dostoyevsky.

It is a Loooooooooong read, but well worth it!

It is about a man who thought he had gotten away with murder.... but his conscience keeps pricking him.

I would rate it 11 out of 10 stars
