Do you know if it's possible to build a lighthouse with a directional light?

... how? I have a ton of Redstone (well, three stacks of redstone blocks) but have no idea how to use it to make anything.

Well, my daughter assembled it according to your schematics, and all the redstone lamps light up. However, that's not quite what I was looking for. I wanted the lights to turn on and off in a sequence, so only one lamp is on at any time, moving around the "ring."
Unless there is something in the schematic that my daughter missed (she's much better at Minecraft than I am, so I had her give it a go). Do you have any suggestions?
