Hello! I'm new here. I've passed through CCG once or twice, but haven't visited the forums before. The semi-recent write-up on Kotaku got me to take another look and I decided to check in and hang out for a while. I'm a member of Redeemed (www.christiangaming.org), but I'm not very actively playing anything at the moment but World of Warcraft, though I do enjoy Xbox 360 and PS3 from time to time. I'm a bit of a writer, and I'm planning on becoming a video game developer at some point. To that end, I'll be attending the Christian Game Developer's Conference in July. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

Welcome! I hear great things about the Christian Developer's Conferences..I think another member SSquared has been to them before too. Do you like the coffee or BattleStar Galactica?

I'm not a huge fan of the coffee, but I do like Battlestar Galactica. Actually, the name comes from the Moby Dick character though - Starbuck was the only one to call Ahab on his craziness, but was loyal to his captain in the end. That seemed like a pretty worthwhile guy to me. :)

I have tons of ideas. Whenever I get inspired by something, I write it down on a sheet of and tack it to a corkboard I have set up specifically for those ideas. Many times my ideas revolve around a character, storyline, or a game mechanic rather than an entire game. Occasionally I'll build an entire game around a concept though. Of course, that's just on paper. Still working on acquiring the skills I need to turn my ideas into actual games.

Howdy Gang (though I posted a short intro in another post I'll reiterate here)

Just joined CCG last night as I was looking for some Christian-based or -themed games to play and Google lead me here. My name's Joe (aka Ruebeard) and I work Part time at a local ISP being a remote technician. I'm a father of 2 and would like to be an avid gamer if I had the money for it :D the games I do play are usually free and/or open source.

I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 came out (wishing I still had that big brown box).

SO yeah, see you in the forums!
