No probs :) Just be aware that the AI will perform the turn for you if the timer runs out I think.

Well, my PC is throwing up in it's lap, so I'm probably not gonna do a whole lot of CivVing. :(

Done. I hate the first few turns, I usually get stuck too far away from a good drop point...

Scotch! You're up!

I almost always build right off, unless I see a much better spot immediately close by. Don't want to waste time looking around this early.

Good luck, Scotch! Hopefully it works for you!

Same here, I always just build the capital at the spot where the game starts. I think the algorithm for generating the world chooses a balanced starting position for everybody, so the plot where you initially land is usually a really suitable one.

The start has a huge cumulative effect on the subsequent turns, so wandering around in the start may even cost a game :)

Considering I get numerous penalties for expanding on account of being India, I think a little choosiness in start location is fine. ;)

Just a reminder that I submitted my turn couple days ago, didn't think I'd manually post about it here anymore. Been your turn Arch :)

If I don't submit my turn in time, I apologize. My homework has piled up to insane levels and I've been barely finding time to breath, let alone fire up Civ V.

Nor problem. It seems to me that the biggest hurdle is just finding out when your turn is. Is this the case with others?
If so, should we PM the next person to alert them of their turn?

Hmm yeah the gaming, at the current pace at least, is rather laborous. I posted my turn now.

I guess Scotch ain't gonna make this game. Even with just the three of us, it would take years to play this through with the current speed... how would you guys feel if we raised the bar to 1 day per turn since submission of previous turn from an another player, but raised also the maximum amount of consecutive skipped turns so people could miss on turns but the game would progress so that we may be able to finish this in 2013? :)
