I say meh. The main thing I look for in role-playing games is whether or not it has a solid storyline that can really suck me in and make me want to be a part of the world. The inclusion of PvP does nothing for me, because I usually don't play against other people (if I wanted to have more head-to-head matches against other players, I'd play TF2 or Quake or whatever). In fact, if a MMO has PvP in such a fashion that it is unavoidable, it's likely I won't even give it a try.
Maybe it has something to do with my tabletop RPG experience. Role-playing games should be more of a cooperative endeavor, rather than competitive. But that's just me.
