Both. Never gets old.

I generally forgo stronger force powers for heavy armor and melee skills.

I always liked the stronger force powers myself.

I also liked the awesome (both looking, and in stats) armor you could find in KOTOR II. I wish I could play the first for the story but with the improvements the second made

ALSO

I think it was the second in which once you finally got the lightsaber constructed, you were pretty much unstoppable, at least for a while. It was like "barely winning fights" to "I will now kill everyone single-handedly while flexing my muscles and not breaking a sweat"

I wish steam had the second one. I picked up the first a while back but haven't gotten around to it again yet. I always like going with a Consular with the extra Force powers. Of course, they all become nearly useless against the final boss. Everyone else just is insta-stunned and slowly eliminated, while he just laughs at my feeble attempts and then cuts through my puny defenses.

Coincidentally, today's game of the decade vote of GameFAQs is between the first KotOR and Fire Emblem. Tough pick.

I think Fire Emblem gets mine.

Apparently there was an attempt to make a mod for KotOR 2 that let you play the first one with the new stuff... but somehow Lucas managed to stop it.

KOTOR is the best Xbox game without Halo in the title.

KOTOR I is amazing. Soldier/Consular is the best combo I think. Make sure your soldier hits lvl 8 to get all of the HP boosts/dual wield, then Consular for force nastiness. Great fun. Last boss was a piece of cake for me once you know what to do.

I have KOTOR II, and I still haven't beaten it. I'm almost halfway through, but never did finish it. It's fun, though a bit glitchy compared the the first one.

I have KOTOR. I am prolly half way through, methinks. Haven't played it in awhile, as I've been distracted by many other games. :P Still, I LOVE this game. Could play it all day, if I had the time. XD

I'm a Light Side rogue. Dual wielding lightabers. :D

I'd not concern yourself to much with beating it. Just play until the last planet, then stop and pretend the rest of the game never happened.

I hated that ending.

I... didn't like the game. The classes were buggy, some stats were buggy, the combat was clunky, and I only got to the Jedi area, did some quests, and then gave up. :/

Now Dragon Age, there's a pause and play RPG I like. >_>

I must admit, that while the ending to the second was terrible, it's not entirely unexpected given the circumstances of it's release. It was rushed. As such, it is buggy, and unfinished. The Sith Lords Restoration Project was working on finishing the ending in a mod so it would actually make more sense, but I think they've gone under. Pity, because some of their changes rocked.

Also, I prefer the second in almost every way. The mechanics are more refined, the models look cooler, the textures smoother, and the story is darker. Though it really wouldn't work half as well as it did without the first, so equal credit should be given there.
