I just beat it some 20-ish minutes ago and I conclude with mixed feelings.

It takes several steps forward (120+ cars, sizable city, car customization, lots of races), but it also takes several steps back (deplorable cop AI, stability issues). I still enjoyed it, even more so because Gamestop was pushing it out the door for $40 instead of the normal $60.

Well, that, and blasting down a freeway in the oncomming lane in a fully upgraded Bugatti Veyron at some 200 mph...

I liked the game. I think it would have been the best one yet if it brought back the pursuit system from the first Most Wanted game, I feel that kind of pursuit is still the best one yet.

I'm unfamiliar with it. I guess I don't know what I'm missing. I'm still content with it (you're probably right - the cops are infuriating to escape).

The reason for what you experienced from the game is because the game is focused on social connectivity than single-payer modes.

I'll give it that. It's set up to be a super-social game. But it's hard to do that when you're not the type who friends everyone they meet ingame, and only one of your friends owns the game. Oops.

I should be getting this game in the mail soon. I'm renting it, though I played the full one-hour game trial on PSN. If you still have the game Scotch, I can play you if you want.
