I know what you mean about Tails. But often in the background story, Tails is often depicted as a little brother to Sonic. So I personally had no problem with his voice in Sonic Heroes.

If he was portrayed that way throughout the games, I could see what you mean... but to change his voice to the one in Heroes, changed the persona of his character. The Adventure games established him as really intelligent, but I don't take him very seriously when he sounds like he's 5 years old. I think consistency is really important.

From what I recall, my personal favorite Tails voice would be from what I had heard from the Sonic X TV series.

Though after a little research it turns out the same voice actor did Tails' voice for Sonic Unleashed,
but from some of videos I looked up, Tails still didn't quite sound like he did in the show. :|

At least I know SEGA at least had that voice actor do Tails for a little while,
and that oddly enough makes me kinda content now. :P

Mainly because this thread is a bit all over the place, and the source of the original post isn't very reliable.
