Re: Is "Theo" as a name blasphemous?

If it was an intentional snub at God it would be one thing. But I have a feeling that most people will name their children more after older relatives, or celebrities, or because it sounds cool, without contemplating the origins of the name. Also even if it is, it isn't the kid's fault. If it was in...

Re: Post Requirement Complete

I have completed my post requirement, and would like to be added to the whitelist.

I might be a bit above the 15 required but I'm kinda liking being back on an actual forum and kinda got excited just interacting with folks like this again.

Re: Starting a visual novel project! (Who knows if I'll finish...)

I'm starting a visual novel project! You know I've never heard of such a thing, but for a person who enjoys video games and have a long time goal to write short stories and novels, this sounds very interesting. I also noticed "Ren'Py" mention as the engine you are using. Do you by any chance have s...

Re: What song are you listening to?

Actually, right now (at this moment) I'm listening to "I'm going with Jesus" by Chicago Mass Choir on Spotify as I'm taking a brief break from my personal bible study. I usually just listen to Gospel music on Spotify. I'd really don't know a lot of artist, I just know I like what sounds good and the...

Re: Your favorite TV shows

I dont watch enough tv to have a favorite. I guess Spongebob lol I have to be honest, I too don't watch enough TV to have a "favorite" show. I guess I really dug 19 Kids and counting when iy was going strong and I even try to watch Still Counting on TLC (or something like that) sometimes. I think n...

Re: The Joke Thread

How did the Sadducees in the bible get their name?

Without Christ, they are Sad U see.

That's not mines. I heard Greg Laurie say that a long time ago and I thought about the joke this morning when I came across "Sadducee" this morning in Matthew.

your meaning of "No Weapon formed against me shall prosper."

I posted this question on a Christian social media app and thought I'd try this crowd out. I hear people today say "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." What does that actually mean? I assume people are pulling it from Isaiah 54:17 and it sounds food for a popular saying today, but what does ...

Re: "Pride Month" and the Rainbow

I seen an image on social media saying : "...BUT THE RAINBOW IS A SYMBOL OF GOD'S PROMISE TO NEVER FLOOD THE WHOLE EARTH AGAIN. ITS NOT A SYMBOL OF SOME OF THE SINS THAT PROVOKED THE FLOOD." I liked the post because it is true and I agree with it. Honestly speaking however, people are going to use s...

Re: Hard to Find a book like this, but I'll ask anyways

I would say that Ted Dekker writes some good Mystery/Suspense stuff, and he is a favorite Christian author of mine. Dunno if you've read his work, but you might want to check out his books Three or The Bone Collector. Both are pretty fun thrillers. I don't think there was any lawyering, though. htt...

Re: We Need More Threads in this Subforum

Same here. My mind (like any typical introvert) needs some time to process what I hear before I can formulate an answer and sometimes by the time I have a relevant thing to say, the conversation has moved on. While I do like live-chat, my problem with forums in the past is exactly this. By the time...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I re-watched a movie me an the family watched the other day. It's called the Village. Very interesting. It's not like a brand new movie in the theater but It was on Netflix.

And I have a very "different" film/entertainment filter that try to stick to for myself and it pretty much past all my filters.

I loved March Maddness and NCAA Basketball on Xbox and Playstation, but they discontinued it. :(

I'd pay good money to play those games on PC now-a-days!

Besides Minecraft, I've been playing My Time in Portia. I was playing a little bit of Stardew Valley and even dabbled with Warframe. I play Fallout Shelter a lot of my iphone.

Hard to Find a book like this, but I'll ask anyways

I would like to find a novel that's by a Christian author that: 1) Is not a romance novel or the plot leans heavily on romance. (Not that I'm oppose to it, but I've read my share of this sort of book) 2) Is a crime type book. Like involving Lawyers litigating a case, or Police detective solving crim...
