Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Saw Spiderman Homecoming yesterday evening with friends. It was alright. I'm far over superhero movies at this point, and frankly any universe where they flaunt the Avengers seems stupid because Thor exists so Thor should just walk in and easily defeat any villain that normal super heroes (or even r...

Awesome!!! :D :D. I wish I could draw like that... I might try that sometime :) Thanks for sharing!! Well I can honestly say wishing won't get you there, but practice will! In fact, I need to go do that right now... Hope you give it a try! If you do, post it, will you? Always nice to see art from o...

Re: My grandpa

Thanks for the update! Great that you were able to get him up and about, that makes such a difference to healing and mental well being, but it's so hard to do on your own.

Re: Answering questions about the Bible with the Bible

but it's pointless to argue with someone whose goal is not to seek after truth, but to gain validation by battering others into agreeing with them. Totally. And it's wisdom to discern when it's the former and when the latter. After some debate with the person I was talking to yesterday, it became p...

Answering questions about the Bible with the Bible

I came across a life-changing little tidbit while reading Tim Keller's book on Preaching, and I wanted to share it. It actually comes from 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon: "There seems to me to have been twice as much done in some ages defending the Bible as in expounding it, but if the whole...

Art Redone: 2002 - 2017

I recently came across an ugly old drawing I did in my early college days (no wonder I flunked out of animation school!) and decided to redo it, so I figured I'd share the outcome here: http://jkriki.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/06_24_2002to2017redone_smaller.png I also did a full analysis of the ...

Currently working through Tim Keller's book called Preaching.

It's about preaching. Shocker, right?

Re: Evangelizing in Video games

How you act in (online) games is a bit part of witnessing, which is the backbone of evangelizing. That's a good place to start. Being positive and filling others with the spirit helps to showcase you as a light on a hill, and people are looking for that light. From there, pointing to God is an easie...

Re: Reasons to get up in the morning?

I think we've all been there, so what you're talking about it pretty normal. You can also do personal work to better yourself. Play an instrument? Make it a goal to practice for 20 minutes first thing upon waking up. Don't play an instrument? Get an instrument, ha ha! You never know when even a tiny...

Re: What was the last game you played?

Played some Tetris/Puyopop for Switch yesterday. My wife is playing it mostly, but if there's a level she can't beat (which is almost always Puyo, she's better than me at Tetris) then I jump in and tag team a win so she can keep going in Story Mode.

Re: How many American atheists are there really?

In my personal view, genuine atheists are more rare than you might think. Many of the people who call themselves atheists really do believe in God deep down, but claim otherwise either because they want to fit in with the groups they've chosen to associate with or they have some personal anger wher...
