Re: Maryland city to church: Stop worship services or leave

That's just ridiculous, and definitely an attack against religion from a government entity. I would have to wonder if the city would have made the same move if the faith were Islamic or Buddhist or Ba'hai... basically anything but a Christian faith.

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

I know. It was a joke. :D I've made pasta by hand several times, and it never tasted near as good as the boxed stuff. Granted, I'm a scrub who barely knows what he's doing, but still. It's not worth it for me. XD You're still a lot better than me. I'm a terrible cook. Not like "Worst Cooks in Ameri...

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

Worth it. That chimichanga gave me the stank eye. You put them in a pot of boiling water. :P Home made ramen for me is about numerous types of freshly cut vegetables, well cooked meat, and a savory broth crafted carefully. I have made pasta at home several times, and it's just not worth the effort ...

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

I fought my guts to eat a chimichanga the size of my foot. I won. But I also lost, because I spent the rest or the day in pain. XD Sigh, you kids... if you're going to get into competitive eating, you really need to learn to pace yourselves.... Home made ramen? I have never tried this. How d...

I have no idea... I don't think I've ever been in that position before. I have a feeling you're speaking from experience, though. Care to share?

It can hold a bond stronger than quick drying glue, usually. Patience is the key, of course.

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

Sometimes the only answer is to walk away before you slap somebody? Some people do deserve a good slappin'... but yes, it's better to walk away. What is your most favorite food? Why? That would be a toss-up between spaghetti and meatballs, or cookies. I think I lean towards cookies, because as a ch...

Re: Matthew 25 - The least of these and virgins

As per your request, I will not post the exact references, but researching the subject matter with your browser will return a number of bible websites that maintain the context to be ' the least of my brethren or brothers ' which means only other Christians. You did bring up the example of Mother T...

Re: Matthew 25 - The least of these and virgins

I took it as anyone in need Exactly. That's why Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan. We should do whatever we can to help those around us. Also take note, I use "we" as individuals, not "we" as in the government, or our society, or even our churches. I resoundly reject the notion of collec...

Coldness?
I spend a good portion of my workday in the freezer, which is typically -10 degrees. So when I run into someone in the backroom and they ask me if it's cold there, I have to shrug and admit that it feels fine to me....

Re: Matthew 25 - The least of these and virgins

I think one important thing to keep in mind is that Jesus was giving instructions to each one of us - or at least those who wish to take upon themselves the title of "Christian." It is up to us to attend to the poor, the hurt and hurting, and those who need us to step in to represent Him. We should ...

Re: I just saw somebody call Donald Trump a racist Cheeto.

Positions discussed are opinions based on perceptions which may or may not be true except for those that share same. In many cases there is an emotional connection which logic cannot change. While I find those opinions interesting, providing proofs relative to those perceptions may be an exercise i...

Re: Thomas S.Monson, 16th President of the LDS Church, has died

So basically, the article claims that if the LDS church doesn't start "changing with the times" and become more secular, then it will get left behind? I suppose that's possible. But really, just because something might be popular or trendy - or even legal - does not mean that it is morally correct. ...
