Re: Skyrim?

I definitely want this game. I have Morrowind and still play it from time to time to this day. What sucked me in and convinced me to buy the game initially was the music, believe it or not. So enthralling.... And just wandering around looking at the scenery, whether it's foggy swamps or mysterious r...

Planescape: Torment

Whoah. This old game has tricks. And it's engaging. No wonder they consider this a classic.
I absolutely love that game. I wish I knew where I put my disks. I never finished it....

Re: "Stargate: Atlantis" Spec Script

/applause Very well done! You especially captured the characters nicely (especially McKay). The only possible flaw I saw was the idea of someone crawling away after getting shot by Ronon. If you get hit by that hand cannon, you're DOWN, even if it was set on stun. But that's just a minor nitpick. Ot...

Re: Who is the face of PlayStation third-person shooting?

Metroid is in first person view, and you shoot things. That's good enough for me....Unless we're either joking or possibly including other genre aspects thrown into the game (it does have some platforming in it and adventure game elements to it) I'd say it depends on the Metroid game, though. The o...

Re: New games v. 2.0

Just got Fractal and played it a bit. It's an interesting puzzler. I'll have to experiment with it a bit more to determine how much I like it.

Re: Who's the most intriguing video game character you know

Dhalsim from the Street Fighter franchise. Needless to say, he's one of my favorites to play as well. Not the one I'm best at, but one I enjoy nonetheless.

Re: Who is the face of PlayStation third-person shooting?

But seriously though, Metroid is not an FPS. ERGH
Does that include the Metroid Prime series? Because normally I find FPSes mind-numbingly boring, but I really enjoy the Metroid Primes. If they aren't considered FPSes, it may explain why I like them....

Wow... I haven't played Dungeon since elementary school. I barely remember how it's played. That's neat to see that they're reissuing it!

Re: What's your favorite game system and why?

I really enjoy the Pathfinder system as well. I think it handles skills really well, and it seems to flow smoothly. At least from a player's standpoint... trying to design an adventure - especially when trying to add a custom creature (like a halfling thief with the ghost template) was occasionally ...

Re: Your favorite TV shows

I generally prefer playing computer games than sitting around and watching TV. That being said, there are a few shows that my wife and I love to sit down and watch together. Doctor Who (the new series - my wife can't stand the originals) is definitely top priority. We also enjoy Psych, Futurama and ...

Re: Trigun

Definitely an awesome series. It's on Netflix now, if anyone subscribes to it. I believe you can find the original series (in print, that is) on sites like Mangafox, too.

Re: The Worst Munchkin

Ooh, I LOVE that idea of a death metal bard! If I recall correctly (it's been a while since I played that character) my character's main emphasis was drums and poetry - yes, kind of a beatnik bard. Very friendly... but certainly not going to win any beauty contests.

Re: What was the last game you played?

Gratuitous Space Battles. It's a game that was part of the last Humble Bundle I picked up. It's definitely a different approach to a strategy game. You design your spaceships and then determine what formation to use on the battlefield and give commands. And then... that's it. The ships duke it out o...

Re: The Worst Munchkin

It's been a while since I've run a game (or played in one, actually), but it's something I've worried about from time to time. I've got a few contingency plans just in case - since most munchkins seem to favor combat prowress, players should expect more adventures to pop up where diplomacy and/or es...
