Recommendations, please!

My wife and I just finished re-watching all the episodes of Firefly last night. She is very sad that the series is over and is hoping that Netflix will be able to revive the series, Nathan Fillion is able to purchase the rights... whatever, just as long as it can happen again. But we're trying...

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

What's the novel about and what is it called? I might buy it for the sake of "hey why not". :D This novel (like the others that I've actually finished) was done a couple of years ago as part of the annual "National Novel Writing Month" event. (There's a thread around here about it somewhere, if you...

Re: Metroid for Wii

At least it seems that Rare learned from some of the mistakes they made from the second Metroid Prime game and addressed them in the third one (at least that's what I've heard...). Retro Studios, not Rare. Currently, Rare is off making Wii Sports 3 for Microsoft. :| Whoops, my bad. Thanks for point...

Re: god in video games

Not to be nitpicky, but what does this have to do with depictions of God in video games? Seems a little bit sidetracked... Just out of curiosity, can anyone think of a video game (outside of those games that are specifically classified as Christian) that depicts the Christian God - or at leas...

Re: Metroid for Wii

The Grapple Guardian is pretty great too but really annoying to get to. One of the most confusing backtracking parts in the entire game. The Grapple Guardian gave me mixed feelings. At first, he was a real fun boss to tackle (and I loved how you got an initial look at him while rolling around under...

I might be able to cope with some of these deaths, if they occur.

But man... if Marilyn Monroe goes... I just don't know what I'll do....

Re: Go ask the lizard-guy something....

do you enjoy butter. If you're referring to a cooking ingredient, sure, why not? I greatly prefer it over margarine. If this in reference to uses other than cooking... then I'm afraid I can't answer that question. I don't really want to.... Good luck getting your novel out! Thank you! I've had a ni...

Re: god in video games

In regards to this specific example, I wouldn't worry about it. The world of Pokemon is clearly different from our world, so I would regard any deific aspects of Pokemon to be about as relevant to real-world faiths as those in the elder Scrolls game or the Greyhawk D&D campaign setting. Polytheism s...

Re: Metroid for Wii

I'm in the middle of playing Metroid Prime 2. I really don't like the dark world mechanic because the constantly draining health discourages exploration, which is very wrong for a Metroid game. I do think the puzzles and bosses are improved over the first game, though. I just beat Boost Guardian . ...

Now that is kind of cool. :)

Did something similar happen in Second Life? Maybe that could be a trend in these types of online sandbox-style games.

Are we the only Christ-Centered gaming site? No. You are, however, the best. It's why I chose to join this one. :) What do you do for a living? Struggle from month to month, and view it as a success if I finish with the bank account in the black. I've found that the best way to do this is to work a...

Tree assassinations are awesome!
Interesting! How often does the game require you to assassinate trees? :P

Are these civilizations and communities created by other people? Or are they generated by the server and essentially NPCs?

we held congress in a pool

I see a country where we have fewer businessmen and lawyers elected. In exchange, we'd get male models and bikini babes.

Could be an improvement, actually.
