Re: Audiosurf

Buy it when it goes on sale on Steam. It's good as a novelty for a while, and it's always fun playing through your favourite songs and Youtube anthems.

Re: ask my kids!

My daughters love the TV show WordGirl. Have you watched it? If so, who is your favorite villain from that series?
I seriously want to marry that show. Kids these days just don't care about spelling and grammar anymore, and to me that show's the only hope remaining for a Grammar Nazi like myself.

Re: ask my kids!

How do you code a base 2 logarithmic calculator function in Lua? (Non-existent prizes for any who come up with a working one)
Also, how many kids do you have?
Aaron: I don't know (none of us do)

Code: Select all

function log2(n) return math.log(n) / math.log(2) end

Re: Should we have a programming/game development subforum?

I haven't heard of CDN before, I might take a look. As for it being in Site Development, that could be a good idea as it this sort of does fit in to what the Site Development forum's for. I just want to see what the wider community think of this before anyone does anything. EDIT: I just noticed that...

Should we have a programming/game development subforum?

I just feel like introducing some of the community to programming and game development could be a really good experience, and also a good place for programmers to discuss coding with one another. I think it would also probably be best off as a subforum to one of the General Talk forums, or maybe Gen...

Re: Reformed PS3 Gamers

When I saw this thread I thought it was about PS3 gamers who have finally realised how terrible the console is and have moved to another (preferably PC) :D

Re: want to help make a game ?

Game Maker = BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD Seriously, don't use it. It's a massive pain. Try Scratch, it's a great program that comes with a great programming language and is great for making games. Apart from that, RPG Maker XP is excellent for RPGs (obviously), though it does cost money. I don't really know...

That seems to be just The Walking Dead at the moment. Though Steam does have its issues, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.

Re: Games You Want To Play But Never Will

Mine would be DnD for sure. I've heard so many things about it but my age group just isn't interested in those types of things.
I might end up playing it with my 20-year-old cousins at one point as they like it quite a lot.

Re: Wreak it Ralph

Well... the whole idea that it's about video games doesn't really appeal to me. The way I see it is that it's simply another of those movies about a guy who wants to find himself and goes and makes new friends along the way. The fact that they have actual video game characters in it seems like a che...
