Re: Self-abuse

It just comes down to this for me: I cannot say whether or not the specific ACTION is sinful, but I DO believe that it cannot be done without sinning. Does that make any sense? IF it's impossible to do without having sinful thoughts, then I agree with you, it shouldn't be done. I'm just not so sure...

Re: Self-abuse

So what are the arguments against masturbating? The main arguments I know are that a) people often masturbate while watching porn or other sensual material, and that's obviously wrong. b) that people have sinful thoughts while masturbating, and that's obviously wrong. c) that it's impossible to mast...

Re: Self-abuse

I've just read a web page from a preacher who thinks it's okay to use masturbation to relieve hormonal stress, as long as you keep your thoughts clean, don't use any "material" (like porn) and take care to prevent it from becoming an addiction. It has pretty good arguments as far as I can tell that ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Switch - This is a really charming movie. Has some humor (some mild gross-out scenes but nothing near The Hangover levels) and some drama and some genuinely touching moments. Jennifer Aniston gets top billing and she does a good job, but the real star is Jason Bateman with a very good performan...

Re: What song are you listening to?

The C&C Tiberian Sun soundtrack. I think it's really awesome, darker and more moody than the first C&C, befitting of the game.

Re: Self-abuse

I'm sorry for this guy (and all people) who are addicted to pornography, but I would like to mention that the Bible does not speak out against masturbation (by itself, I mean without watching porn) anywhere. I would think that if it were an abomination in God's eyes, like the abominations listed in ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Tron: Legacy. 6/10 for weak story, 9/10 for jawdropping visuals, awesome soundtrack and Jeff Bridges. Averages to 7.5/10. Going to ask the soundtrack for my birthday.

Re: What song are you listening to?

Dream Within A Dream by Hans Zimmer from Inception. I believe it's the ending theme.

Got me some quality soundtrack stuff from iTunes. It's gonna be a late night.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

True Grit While technically and fundamentally perfect, this movie left me feeling underwhelmed, and not the 'SO EPIC MOVIE' feeling I was expecting from what others told me about the movie and since it is a Coen production. For me it doesn't pass the original movie due to intangibles the original h...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Sleepers - A heart wrenching drama about physical and sexual abuse in a youth institution with an all star cast. It may or may not have actually happened (the book's author says it really happened but there are no records of the lawsuit portrayed in the movie so its authenticity is debated). It's q...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Killer Inside Me - Didn't like it. It was pretty disturbing, that's not always a problem but here it seemed kind of pointless. The whole movie seemed kind of pointless to me, I don't get what anyone gets out of a movie like this but to each his own. It's probably very artistic and such, it's a ...

Re: The turnip on my desk returns to answer your questions

I'mma support the pirates here. Orlando Bloom didn't play a pirate and Johnny Depp is an awesome actor, as is Geoffrey Rush who played Barbossa and Ian McShane who plays Blackbeard in the new one. Whereas any idiot can play a ninja, you don't even have to do any real acting, your face can't be seen ...
