Re: New games v. 2.0

Also spent 5 more euros to snag up Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition. Indiana Jones is a game I loved as a teenager. A great adventure game with a story that's better than two of the movies. I bought this version because it has a full voice cast, I never pl...

Re: What was the last game you played?

FlatOut 2. Started the career mode, finished two tournaments and a derby. But I just can't seem to get the hang of the special events such as trick jumps and such, I can never finish in the top 3 in them. Thankfully they aren't absolutely required to progress in the game and I like the races and der...

Re: New games v. 2.0

FlatOut 2 , on sale for €4,99 on Steam. It's a great arcade racing game where you can wreck your car and all the other cars in spectacular fashion. I had installed it illegally for a mini LAN party with some friends (I don't normally download illegally but I didn't feel like buying it for that one ...

Re: Ask a Question, Get Deep!

I don't really like Nine Inch Nails either, at least what I've heard of them.

I think Rammstein's music is pretty good, but the lyrics (if you understand German) are sometimes a little iffy so I've refrained from buying their albums.

Re: Behold, the body of Adonis and the brain of a squirrel.

Not sure where you got that from my post...but really, there's nothing to forgive. If anyone is getting blamed for something, it would be me for my terrible syntax and typo. XD Didna see the OG post anyway. That sentence should have read: "The more of people I learn, the scary fact continues appear...

Re: Ask a Question, Get Deep!

Requiem for a Dream is great though depressing, and it should be mandatory viewing for anyone who is thinking about starting a drug habit. There's a scene at the end that's hard to watch for women (nothing is shown but much is implied) so be careful who you show it to. The Fountain is an interesting...

The films of Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan)?

Re: Summon the Baleful Harbinger

Yeah I get what you mean. Some antiheroes work for me (like outlaw biker Ben from the game Full Throttle) but other don't. Such as in the movie Leon (a.k.a. The Professional) where professional hitman Leon dies at the end and it's supposed to be a really serious and sad moment. I just thought "so wh...

Re: Summon the Baleful Harbinger

Have you seen Black Swan and if so, what did you think of it? Discussions on the IMDB message boards have called my attention to the rather large amount of depth and subtext in that movie that warrants repeat viewings and closer analysis, but the sexual content is a deterrent for me for buying the D...

Re: Behold, the body of Adonis and the brain of a squirrel.

Now for a more constructive comment (I feel like such an idiot for the previous one) I get what you mean about a non-scary movie that is still a great horror movie. Take for example the recent version of The Wolfman. It absolutely and completely fails as a scary movie, but the moody atmosphere, the ...

Re: Behold, the body of Adonis and the brain of a squirrel.

Nice. The more I learn of people, the scary continues appearing, however: Americans aren't the only idiots in the world. Seems like most people worship that. Tell me if I'm misunderstanding this, but did you just call everyone who likes scary movies an idiot? Disregard that previous comment, I was ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I don't remember claiming the fly was disgusting. Just overrated. That movie seems to be a contention between us. No, not really contention. I'm fine with you not liking it, I don't feel that strongly about that movie anyway. It's just that you said that modern horror movies are all about disgustin...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

"The Thing from Another World" . The original 'The Thing'. It really is one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies. Just behind Forbidden Planet. I like it so much I'm nearly halfway interested in seeing the newer one. But I doubt I will. XD Well, the 1982 version is good, it's the best movie I've seen from ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Black Swan - It was good. Pretty disturbing, but good. Some genuinely freaky moments and I liked the way they filmed the dance scenes. Good acting too. However the sexual content is such that I won't be buying it on DVD (there's no actual nudity but plenty of suggestion). Also, I thought it was jus...
