Re: Finally bought a mechanical keyboard!

Loudness is one of the reasons why I got a Logitech G710+ - it's mechanical MX Brown (tactile + quiet) and it has O-rings on each key, so it doesn't *clack* as loud when it hits bottom. It's really not all that loud, and it's still full of tactile goodness. :)

Re: Finally bought a mechanical keyboard!

Chiclet keyboards aren't bad, I almost went that route before I went mechanical. I'm glad I went the mech route, though. :)

Re: Finally bought a mechanical keyboard!

You can buy a PS/2 to USB adapter for peanuts. I am using one at work. I prefer Browns over Blues because of the lighter touch, since finger/hand/wrist pain is a big deal to me. But Blues are indeed great, and I use them on my Orbweaver without complaints. I doubt you can go wrong with either. I wil...

Re: Finally bought a mechanical keyboard!

I haven't typed on an Alps key in a very long time. I have a mechanical KB here at home (Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G710+) and an old Cherry White keyboard at work (it's not as good as my browns, but not bad). Mechanical is pretty much the only way to go. I admit chiclet keys aren't bad, but there is...

Re: I Finally Just Beat LoZ:Wind Waker (GC)

I loved just exploring, filling out the map, discovering the many secrets. It's just so much fun. The only thing I didn't like was the whole pictograph thing... 3 pictures is just not enough. So I skipped that. Oh well.

WW:HD does have 12 picture slots, which would help a whole lot.

I Finally Just Beat LoZ:Wind Waker (GC)

I played the GameCube version, but I played it on my PC via the Dolphin emulator, so while it's not the new HD release, it's close. ;) And, wow. That is one amazing game. Got to be perhaps a top ten game for me. I am beyond blown away. The art, atmosphere, characters, music, storyline, sense of open...

Re: Anyone else miss Chrono Trigger?

I distinctly remember saving up significant money ($85? Cartridges were pricey back then) in my teen years for this game, and seeing every (yes, all of them) endings. It's definitely one of my all time favorite games. Back in those days, if a game had Square on the label, it was an instant buy sight...

Re: R.I.P. Winamp

I am using Winamp while I write this. I've been using Winamp (on Windows) as my primary music player since the 1.x days. Very few other players stay out of your way like Winamp does with its super small interface (in dock mode). It plays music and stays out of your way - not all others can say that....

Re: Rokko Chan

Not surprising that it's fanmade (after all Mega Man vs. Street Fighter was too - look it up!) but it's definitely well done! I need to config that gamepad. ;)

Re: Newjazz

I figured out how to download MP3s. That's cool! :) (Even though I hate how compressed music sounds, I'll live with it if FLACs aren't available. ;) )

Thanks again,

Re: Newjazz

I love me some instrumental Jazz. Even the vocal stuff isn't bad. I'll need to listen to more of this stuff.

Is there any way to buy/download any of it (if the price is low enough, I'd consider it, if it's FLAC/CD).

Thanks,

Re: Sins of a Solar Empire

I have it and love it. It's been a looong time since I played it last (probably has something to do with the loong game times). I like all 3 in their own way. I do remember liking the Vasari, though. I see you got Rebellion. Cheryl wouldn't let me get it at the last Steam sale. I have the original (...

Re: Roll20

Does roll20 use online character sheets, and where would we get them?

How strict are you on character gen rolls?

(nothing worse than a mage with 11 int)

Does this system use IM chat for talking, or would we use skype?
