Re: The Lord of the Rings Online

In Theory it is F2P, but if you _really_ want to play it (reach end-game raids and all that), you're bound to pay at some point. Either to buy Turbine points (to buy content zones X or Y or features Z) or by buying the monthly subscription which covers most of the content. But once your subscription...

Re: Grand strategy games

As far as grand strategy goes, Civilization -series (latest is V) has always been my favorite. Sometimes I do get bored of the simplistic combat and too easy to trick AI, even when playing on the higher difficulty levels. When I want to play more combat-orientated games, Total War -series has always...

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2

PC gamer here as well, add me to steam if you want to play together :) I also possess a TeamSpeak3 server, which we can use if we play together - imo it's really neccessary for good atmosphere and actually being able to use somewhat tactics when working as a squad/team. Re: We madez a game! Sidescroller shoot'em'up + a puzzle

We were using the Unity3D engine. It's very neat for small-size game development and is very handy for developing small games for e.g. PC, Mac, iPhone OS and Android. However, as it is a very inflexible integrated environment for some game development, big scale games are troublesome to implement. B...

We madez a game! Sidescroller shoot'em'up + a puzzle

Hey ya'all! Sorry for not popping by for a while - been super busy writing my thesis, plus I also misplaced my shoulder by falling with my bicycle in February and been on a sick-leave. Just got a birthday congratulations e-mail from CCGR and I took it as a reminder from God to not lose contact to th...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I had seen the name in so many places so I thought it had to be somehow good movie as it was pretty known, but it turned out to be just a pointless wacko movie about drugs. Shame, directed and partly written by the Monty Python guy Terry Gilliam.
