Need some prayer for my family

My sister is recently going through some dire circumstances financially, and while I and other family have contributed to alleviate the issue, her husband is having trouble getting back to work due to medical reasons, and since they have children to worry about, any prayers for their getting this tr...

Re: Is "Theo" as a name blasphemous?

Okay, I want to ask a question some may see as silly, but I searched and don't really see anything about this on the web. I had a nephew born two days ago-- happy day!-- but his parents (one of whom is an atheist, the other I would describe as either pagan or heretical Christian, depending upon how...

Re: "Pride Month" and the Rainbow

I think the more basic flaw in the whole "Pride Month" is more rudimentary. They want to assign pride to an act that no one who knows God should be proud of, and the fact they have to set aside a month specifically to try and assign dignity to celebrating homosexuality and licentious sex in general ...

Re: Why Most Christians Miss The Point of God's Admonition Against Using Magic

I agree with your admonitions, and your intent. We should not be messing with the occult, demons, or anything else, for many of the reasons listed. However, I do not agree that in every case demons do not grant a form of power, or exercise it themselves, to humans when they do their evil works. Whe...

Why Most Christians Miss The Point of God's Admonition Against Using Magic

https://gethn7.blogspot.com/2019/06/why-most-christians-miss-point-of-gods.html If there is one fallacy many Christians have, albeit it often comes from the most well meaning motives, it's the belief that trying to influence the world using magic and the occult, contrary to the instructions of God, ...

Re: Final Fantasy's terrible truth?

I didn't realize how the translation affected BOF2. Is it worth getting a better translated port to see that? A better translation does make the game much more understandable, and it's made much more obvious that the Church of Eva is riddled with evil while preaching otherwise. The original transla...

Re: The Passover and Eucharist: A Guide

Protestants view communion as a symbol but Catholics believe that it're than a symbol but the actual body and blood of Christ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transubstantiation True, but there are so many different denominations, many of which hold beliefs highly similar to Catholicism to some degree...

Re: Final Fantasy's terrible truth?

I don't agree. The 'gods' in the game act more like Satan. I found some similarities in Final Fantasy V to the Millenial Reign in Revelation, with the monsters being sealed for 1000 years. Also, here is a guest article I did for a Catholic website. http://catholicvideogamers.blogspot.com/2017/12/fi...

Original at: (https://gethn7.blogspot.com/2019/05/the-passover-and-eucharist-guide.html) This post will be dedicated to discussing the original Passover festival as detailed in the Book of Exodus, and the Eucharist (the "Lord's Supper") as detailed in the New Testament Gospels. The latter is derived...

Deuteronomy: Cliff Notes Edition

The biblical book of Deuteronomy (which means "second law") contains a recap of most of Leviticus and Numbers, but it also includes some new laws and expansions on older ones those books do not cover. The new material will be covered in this post, with any specific historical trivia not explained in...

Biblical Weights and Measures, a guide

https://gethn7.blogspot.com/2019/05/biblical-weights-and-measures-guide.html (see above for original) The Bible often makes references to various weights and measures in common use at the time it depicts, but little or none of them are used today. Most Bibles contain a summarized conversion table in...

Re: Numbers: Cliff Notes Edition

I'm guessing men were allowed multiple wives so there wasn't an unfaithfulness test for males. Another good write up! They were, but adultery was still punishable by men, as King David later discovered to his extreme sorrow. A lot of the law was written with one gender in mind most of time, with th...
