Re: Last Game You Beat

I've gone fairly quickly through some short games lately. The first, on the PS3, was another game I got for free on PS Plus, Amplitude. It's kinda like Guitar Hero but with a ship that goes along each track, and when you perfect a certain section, that track goes away for a while allowing you to con...

Re: Whatcha reading???

I'm currently reading "Answers Book 1", which is the first of a series of 4 books by Creationist apologetics ministry Answers in Genesis . They're the organization that built both the Creation Museum and the replica of Noah's Ark in northern Kentucky-- I went to the Museum back in August and I was R...

Re: Last Game You Beat

It took a while (~40 hours), but I recently beat Risen 3: Titan Lords on the PS3, a game I got for free from PS Plus a few years ago. It's basically a poor man's Oblivion-- lazy writing and combat that takes a bit to get used to despite it being simplistic, and the graphics are horrible for a PS3 ga...

Re: My Beliefs That I Decided To Write

This is the land God gave us, this is our Zion. God has made sure that no matter what battles or wars America goes into against others to keep our land that we win every time. This is the only part of your post I disagree with. The U.S. is not Israel. Now, of course if we follow God's law he will b...

Re: Whatcha reading???

I've recently finished reading Soul Harvest, the four book in the Left Behind series. It was kind of slow moving for a while, but it's picking up towards the end.

Re: Last Game You Beat

A few weeks ago I beat Jimmy Johnson's Anything With An Engine on the PS3, a Mario-Kart like racing game but with some unique twists, like having to earn "fan votes" to unlock certain weapons and having to go into a pit stop to repair your car before your health gets too low. A pretty solid racing g...

Re: Life: The Boardgame needs new rules

Well, you win the game solely by how much money you have. I mean, if you're only considering THAT, than yeah, if you have less kids chances are you'll do better. But that's not what life is about, sooooo.... yeah. That said, it's just a game and it's easier to quantify who wins by a quantitative mea...

Re: Whatcha reading???

I'm just about finished up reading "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Christianity", by Michael P. Foley. It's a pretty solid book for the MOST part, but particularly when talking about the "fundamentals" of Christianity near the beginning he doesn't use citations from the Bible or... well... anyth...

Re: Last Game You Beat

I just beat Uncharted 4: A Thief's End on the PS4. It's a pretty solid shooter/platform game with a pretty good story and a really sweet ending and amazing graphics. It'd be a wholehearted recommendation if it wasn't for the VERY prevalent taking of the Lord's name in vain. (This is a T-rated game, ...

Re: Last Game You Beat

I recently beat Sacred 3 on the PS3, a game I got free on PS Plus a while ago. It's a pretty decent hack-and-slash, though the art and dialogue are rather disparate-- the art says "take me super seriously", while the dialogue says "this is basically a comedy". Kinda weird.

Re: The dangers of renouncing your faith

Yeah, the more you dive into the Bible, the more it makes sense on sooooo many different levels. All this talk about "contradictions" and the like just means you aren't looking into it enough, really, and I say that as someone who believed that 10+ years ago. I think this is sad but unfortunately ex...

Re: What is your opinion on videogame piracy?

In modern times I don't really see any moral excuse for it, for reasons enumerated by earlier posters. Back in the 80s and 90s I could POSSIBLY see it excused ONLY if you legitimately wanted to see if you liked a game, played it an hour or so to "demo" it, and then bought it or deleted it based on h...
