Re: What was the last TV show you watched?

Legend of Korra.

I thought the first season was really good, despite not quite living up to TLA's standards, but the second season is feeling incredibly lackluster for me.
The first few episodes are filler, but the last half of the season could fit right into TLA just fine.

Re: Presbyterian Church endorses same-sex marriages

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I haven't heard of the PCA folding. Quite the opposite in fact.

Re: Tattoos

Will the rest of this thread contain charged statements that are nothing more than talking points? Nope, I think we've pretty well shouted down all the conservatives who oppose tattoos. Good job all! That's what you're implying, right? I meant your posts which have gotten more passive-aggressive ea...

Re: Tattoos

Therefore we should not take pride in our bodies, But what about my massive gains? EDIT: My old college pastor had tattoos. About 7 of them actually. He had various Scripture in Hebrew and Greek. He also had the trinity knot with Scripture in Gaelic (or maybe it was Old English) around it. It was p...

Re: Breaking Bad

Ozymandias remains my favorite episode of the entire show. Make sure you read the poem that it's named after as well.

Re: Ken Ham to debate Bill Nye on creationism

Yeah I mostly was referring to the seemingly endless cars with NY tags we have around here. Those yankees are pretty much gelded anyhow so they move aside pretty fast. Doesn't work on a southerner lol But yeah, I've done the same, especially when you have some musclehead in a sports car weaving thr...

Re: Ken Ham to debate Bill Nye on creationism

Oh yeah it takes...practice. And a lot of error. But I was talking on the road, most people see a big truck moving fast, they move aside. I don't. If I'm in the middle lane, or there's someone right in front of me in the left, I slow down to five under the speed limit. Other driver's rage makes me ...

Re: The Desolation of Smaug

I accepted a long time ago that these movies weren't going to be completely faithful to the book. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not sure what you guys were expecting after An Unexpected Journey and even the LOTR trilogy. As a 100% book-to-movie adaptation, the movie fails in that regard. But I lo...

Re: What Is This MESS?!?!?

Console wars always boil down to games. I would disagree. Its the games and marketing that has changed for Nintendo. For one, what is one of the most popular games at the moment? FPS games like Call of Duty, and people will buy those kind of games on the systems they're the most popular on. Especia...
