Re: New games v. 2.0

Minecraft was my most recent purchase, after several years of people telling me I had to try it. Well worth the money, and now I realize just how many people play it!

Re: Last Game You Beat

I think it was Braid, for the umpteenth time -- I can't get enough of that game. Real art provides a new lens through which we can view Creation, and Braid did that superbly. Play it if you haven't; it'll change your perception of time, and with it, your understanding of the concept of "eternal." (D...

Minecraft -- before that, Majora's Mask. I guess I like games that start with "M."

Re: Recommend a book.

Read "The City in History," by Lewis Mumford. It's about sociology and urban theory, yes, but it's far from boring and will change your perspective on the world. If you're looking for something shorter but meaningful, you must, must, must read "Mere Christianity" by CS Lewis -- it's a classic. It be...

Re: Your favorite TV shows

That's an easy one -- The West Wing. Probably the most brilliantly-written series to ever hit American television. Funny, moving, convicting -- it has everything you could want from a television show. The President's faith is depicted frequently and realistically, despite the show having been writte...

Re: Last CD You Bought?

Thanks to Rdio, it's been a long time since I actually bought a CD, but I believe my last purchase was The Social Network soundtrack. Brilliant stuff - I would definitely recommend it!

Re: What song are you listening to?

I'm not listening to anything right now, but a few minutes ago I was listening to Sufjan Stevens. Have you heard his Christmas album? His rendition of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" gives me chills. Well worth the listen. (And yes, I know it's before Halloween and Christmas music is preemptive haha)

Re: Introductions - New Members Post Here!

Hello there! My name is Jordan, and I'm brand new to this board. I joined because I'm eager to join a Minecraft server with fellow Christians. In addition to Minecraft (which I enjoy but to which I am still new), I love The Legend of Zelda, Braid, Civilization 5, and SimCity. I'm looking forward to ...
