Re: Last Game You Beat

What was the point where you got stuck? I know of one glitch, in the end you're supposed to look at a wall and notice the alignment of the sunstone, moonstone and worldstone and recreate that alignment on the pedestal in the final room, but if you reload the game at that point, the alignment on the ...

Re: What was the last TV show you watched?

Over the half-way point with X-Files Season 3. Grotesque is a pretty terrifying episode, one of the most disturbing ones I've seen thus far. The images of all the drawn and sculpted gargoyles are very creepy, coupled with Mulder's deteriorating mental state it makes for an unpleasant feeling while w...

Re: Summon the Baleful Harbinger

Haha apparently I misunderstood you. Sometimes I pay close attention to what people write, but other times I don't have much time and I just skim the posts. I believe you said you got slammed at the restaurant which I now realize means you had a busy evening, but when skimming the post I mistook it ...

Re: Summon the Baleful Harbinger

Yeah, probably  I'd also like to say that the drinking age in Holland is lower (16 for beer and wine, 18 for hard liquor) so that's also partly why I asked this question without considering Oro's age. And there's a difference between Western European and US drinking culture. Some American Chri...

Re: Summon the Baleful Harbinger

Yeah I kinda forgot about that. He told us in the other thread about getting hammered so I figured asking him what he likes to drink without thinking about his age. Sorry for the inappropriate question.

Re: Last Game You Beat

Finished the two other paths as well. Now done with the game. According to Steam the whole game took me 10 hours. Now I'm turning my attention towards Beneath A Steel Sky , another adventure game which has been released into the public domain, so it's free. Never played this one before but heard goo...

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - imdb synopsis: Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin', and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, ch...

Re: What was the last TV show you watched?

The X-Files , Season 3, episode Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose . I'm impressed by the quality of writing of this episode. It's fairly dark and has some gruesome content as X-Files often has, but it's also very funny and just very smartly written, and the guy who plays the titular character does a gr...

Re: Don't ask me.

Is the screaming produced when you stick your finger into a light socket considered electronic music?

:P
You could compare it to a genre called noisecore. That genre is about as pleasant to listen to as the sounds of someone sticking their finger in a light socket.

Re: Don't ask me.

That's interesting, thanks for the links!

Do you like goa trance? I do like it, it's kind of a pot-smoking hippie genre but it's pretty interesting to listen to.

Re: Last Game You Beat

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - Fun game. Good story, good puzzles, the environments are very low-res but are well drawn. Voice acting is the weak part of the game. I still remembered most of the solutions to the puzzles so I breezed through it. Going to keep playing for a while to check o...

Re: What was the last game you played?

Several games on my friend's iPad, including Pinball Fantasies (a favorite from my teenage years), and a remake of the fun top-down racing game Death Rally.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Rite - Decent movie. It's about a guy who goes to Catholic seminary without even believing in God and he becomes a student to an exorcist in Rome. First he just observes but then he has to come into action himself despite his lack of faith. Very moody atmosphere, well photographed, lots of pret...
