The ninth commandment is to tell the truth and as Christians, integrity is very important to us and our readers. We expect all of our volunteer reviewers to be honest about their opinions and influences in the reviews they are writing for us. If a product was sent to us to review, we will disclose that information. Christ Centered Gamer will not accept financial, personal or editorial assistance in the review writing process. If a company advertises with us, we will disclose that information in our reviews as well. Christ Centered Gamer is partially funded by advertisers. Money earned from banner revenue goes towards hosting costs, games, and gaming hardware. Our editing and reviewing staff are all volunteers. All of our reviews are opinions, but we all follow the same reviewing standards when calculating the moral score of a game. Christ Centered Gamer will not provide positive reviews for financial gain, nor will we remove negative reviews if asked. The only condition for a game's score to be changed is by replacing older reviews with higher quality ones following our current review standards.  If you have any questions about our policies, feel free to contact us!

I find this to be a good code of ethics. Would recommend possibly explaining what is done if someone breaks the code, giving people a stronger notion of how important the code itself is. Strong punishment following an ethical breach is good form and a good show of faith towards your readership.

This is one of the reasons why I, a gamer and a hopeful game-dev, trust this site and it's staff to be honest with me.

And to be honest, I'm not even Christian (though I do respect the Christ's wisdom and also trust quite a lot of good words in the Bible itself but that's a tangent for another time) and I still recognize and applaud such a move to earn the reader's trust.

About Us:

Christ Centered Gamer looks at video games from two view points. We analyze games on a secular level which will break down a game based on its graphics, sound, stability and overall gaming experience. If you’re concerned about the family friendliness of a game, we have a separate moral score which looks at violence, language, sexual content, occult references and other ethical issues.
