Doing a little woodwork...

Post by Orodrist »

Rebuilding a bench, actually. Or at least it started that way, it's turned into a bit more of a project than I thought.
Spoiler:

That's gonna be the headboard, and that's what I spent most of the day on while my other stained/painted pieces dried. Three hours of concept work, better part of an hour doing the cuts. Sanded it, stained it, let it dry, polished it with some 500 grit, and rubbed on a second coat, which was polished with 1000 grit all of which took another two hours, not counting dry time. Templar cross is there so when its dug up in 500 years it'll feed the conspiracy theorists.

Sadly that was the easy part.

And yes. I am turning my smoking bench into a Generic Evil Overlord™ bench.

Awesome. XD

Good work too. Did you route out the cross, or is it painted?

No router so I had to use a drill and jigsaw.

It'll be a while, but probably.

Nice work! I love seeing art people have created in real life.

Cool, I've been building a dresser for about a year. It's taking a while...
