With that, Trip leaves the inn. Pulling his cloak tighter to cut the winter chill, he looks about to get his bearings. After establishing which road is the "main road," he starts east, toward the rising sun and, with a prayer to Oldimarra to protect him along the way, Agronon.

You retreat behind the barrel, the creature staggers forward in pursuit. You push the barrel with all of your might. Slowly the large barrel nudges forward. The creature approaches and before it reaches you it is crushed under the weight of the massive wine barrel. The momentum of the barrel ceases and it rests at the back wall of the basement.

Your clawed hands swing low and the torso of the creature is sliced open. It's intestines spill from it as it collapses to the floor. The girl is caught up in a mixture of mournful sorrow and gut retching from the creature you fell. You notice that this....tomb is sealed on all sides with no apparent door. You look back to where you came from only to find that the door is no longer there. Instead a solid wall. Pain shoots from your stomach and you stagger backward. Looking at your outstretched hand, the hair is receding from it and flesh begins to show itself from the thick fur. In painful moments, you find yourself naked on the floor, human once again.

((Yes, there are many places you can go in Underport. There are many temples, the largest of which is to Oldimarra. Oldimarra is the god of rogues and bards. This is the type of town that with enough coin, you can get anything. Your brand is purple in color.))

Fear and relief struck Kratimos as his bare flesh spread out over the cold stone floor. It always feels good to be back in his original body, but now their situation became that much more dire. He slammed the fist on the cold stone floor and slowly picks himself up.
Kratimos ran his fingers through his hair and let out a long sigh, but shortly picked himself up. He straightened his posture and began looking around the room for a potential weapon, possible ways out, and something to cover himself for sake of the little girl. Normally, nudity hasn't bothered Kratimos so much, but when comforting crying children, he found clothes were a bit of a necessity.

You journey for two days until you find yourself at the gates of a massive grave yard. The air is still You observe a bird as it flies directly toward the cemetery only to change course and fly along it's border, refusing to enter it's airspace. It is as if life itself flees from this place. Even the path you walk on goes from a brown cobblestone to a chalk white. This place carries an air of cold malevolence about it.

All you see for coverings are the torn funeral rags of the creature you defeated and the bloodied clothing of the child's father lying on the floor. As you search, however, you notice a ring on the finger of the creature. A family crest carved into it's gold surface. As you search about, you find another body. This one, the previous victim before the butcher. It's bare skeleton lay picked clean on the ground. It's obvious from the broad bone structure and skull, this was perhaps an orc of sorts. It's femur bone would make a solid club.

((If the damage was absorbed by your werewolf abilities, then no, you don't take the damage. If it was damage that got through the damage reduction (so more than 5) then yes, you would subtract the damage from your current hit points because they would carry over to your human form.))

Kratimos grimaces as he wraps what non-sludged rags he can tie around his waist. He takes up the ring and ties it into the garment, to hold it into place. Kratimos moves toward the orc skeleton, reaches down, and grabs the bone club and and returns to comfort the girl.
"Hey kiddo," He puts his hand on her head, "I'm sorry about your father. Here, we're going to have to say goodbye and then we're going to find a way out of here, okay?"
Not terrible sensitive how he said it, but Kratimos was never great in that sense.
Kratimos picks up the girl and holds her on his side as he walks toward the butcher. When he approaches the butcher, he makes sure to close the eyes of the dead man staring up.

You make your way outside your apartment here in Underport. The air is stale and humid but cool. The sun doesn't shine here, quite the reflection of the activities and the people who live here, preferring the shadow. You pay your way here by spreading the compassion and love of your goddess in the form of divine healing and blessings. You've even performed a marriage of a Pirate Captain, who was ever grateful for your services ((+500 gp)). You have many contacts in the city itself, mostly among the clergy of the goodly gods. What would you like to do?

Girded in your loin cloth and armed with the femur bone, you stand and make your way to the wall opposite of the wall you entered. As you prompt the girl, though sobbing she stands to her feet. When you close the eyes of the butcher you notice the girl reaches into the pants of her father and retrieves a small pouch. She quickly shoves it into a pocket in her dress. You both continue to the wall, looking for any way out.

The familiar feeling as adrenalin fills your every limb. Armed to the teeth and armored like a tank. Soon the carnage will erupt and the crowd will cheer you on. At first, the thought of who these victims were drove you mad. Now it's a matter of you or them. To your right stands an appalling creature. Purple skin covers his body. His thin frame is draped with a simple black and purple robe. His long and slender fingers are covered in rings and he wields no physical weapon. From his face flow tentacles that move ever so slightly. His voice resounds in your head. At first, it felt violating but after years of fighting alongside him it is often your only companion.

+3 Dragon Scale Shield, with a command word, you can produce a whirlwind that surrounds you that deflects arrows 3 charges/day

Treat dragon scale as heavy Adamantine armor, offering damage reduction of 3/))

As Kratimos and the girl search around the walls to find any hidden or obscured walls. He also takes the care to look up at the ceiling and down on the floor for any possible exits.

All the meanwhile, he's been meaning not to ask, but the curiosity caught up with him.

"What's in the little pouch there?" Kratimos motioned towards her pocket.

I make my way to the Oldimarra temple, moving slowly through Underport. I run the experience with the High Priestess and what I saw over in my head again; trying to remember what I saw and heard. I can see the temple from where I am standing and I secure my coin sack and other belongings to me as I approach the Temple of Thieves.

Yes!!! One less foul creature in this world. Normally Crimson would scavenge the corpse but given how this one reeks badly she'll make an exception. She picks up her torch and quietly searches for an exit and traps along the way.
