As long as I get my name in the credits. ;)

(Actually, no. My parents would have a cow. The scriptwriter will remain anonymous. :|)

And so forth.

Or not.

I'm thinking of getting the new software/VST "Pianoteq." My music could use some piano and it got a good review in computer music magazine.

you ship me or Xian Lee the sheet music, we'll record it, and then ship it back. (he and I both play piano)

lol, indeed. How do you think I get melodies in my songs? Step sequence? Nooo...

Who has enough time to step sequence melodies, harmonies, etc. anyway, timing takes way too long.

Believe me, you DO NOT want to go through the torture of making a song through step sequencing. Take it from me. I've been there, in the days of when I had some type of version of Fruity Loops (Fruity Loops doesn't have a built in metronome like my current software does), and with no metronome, I would have to take out the ol' Piano Roll feature and manually step sequence every note's length, pitch and articulation in order to get it in sync with the drums... Ah the bad old days...

EDit: Why was it in tiny text? Fixed.

I was cleaning out my junk today and found an old notebook from 1998. (I was about seven at the time).

Flipping through it, I found a short story I'd written. It was interesting - the first story I remember ever writing.
The punctuation and penmanship was pretty bad, but no mispelled words. ;)
I'm going to type it out and post it here, if for no other reason than to show the difference between Lazarus' stories from 8 years ago and his Book in Progress story now.

The only changes I've made are to punctuation(adding periods, ' and ", and question marks)

...

As Joe and his pal George walked along the road, Joe said "We have a big dusty attic and it's full of old trunks and boxes. Why don't we go up there and look through 'em?"
"Okay." said George. So they went back to the house and up the stairs to the attic.

"There sure is a lot of stuff up here." George said. Joe said, "Why don't we start with this one?"

So they opened it. "What's that?" Joe said. "A little box with a key attached," George said. "Let's open it."
They did, and saw a piece of paper, an envelope, and a gold coin. They opened the envelope and found a map. It looked like this: *crude drawing of a map*

The piece of paper said 17,5,2 17,2,26,16,17,15,2 6,16 25,18,15,6,2,1 6,11 17,52 12,91 25,26, 15,11.

They were excited so they tried to decode it. They found out it said "The treasure is buried in the old barn."
"What old barn?" they thought. The house on the map looked just like theirs. "Maybe it's on our property."
They started out through their woods and found an old barn. They went in and found a piece of wood with writing on it. It said: -..-..---. ..---.-..-. ...-.-.-..

They knew it was morse code. It said "Dig under here."
They went back and got shovels but it was too dark. So they went up to the attic and box was closed.

It was very dark, so Joe started to turn the light on. Suddenly - "AAAAAAAAAOOIIIIWWW!"

They screamed and ran downstairs. Then the power went out, and what looked like a ghost was coming down the stairs . It grabbed them, pulled them back into the attic and tied them up and gagged them.

Then it executed Joe and George Wilson.

-The end-

Wow. I was only 7 - and we didn't even get a TV until a few years later.

That story is really weird, for some reason. Not sure why.

:? You've certainly improved.

Quite the ending, though. But I have to admit, I've written stuff where nearly everyone dies at the end.

Yeah, it really amused me to remember that I wrote this stuff.

"Then it executed Joe and George Wilson"

Lol. That simple standalone statement makes me laugh everytime I read it, for some reason.

It probably would've scared Mom to death if I'd showed it to her back then. 8O

"My sweet little boy wrote - this? Ohhhhh... *faints*"

The mere idea of you as "a sweet little boy." Lol.

Count_Krazy wrote:I've...finally...done it! I have created a complete story in my head! The world, the characters, the plot...just about everything... I think that I'll celebrate! By writing and making a movie... :D

I think that I'll have to stick with stop-motion until I get some good actors.

I hope to be like M. Night Shyamalan and Tim Burton, because they actually write AND make movies.

Ahem... Anyway, I'm not sure if my video will be a dance video exactly, but more of a comedy... And after that, a stop-motion of a sort...
cool! What I hate is when I have a partially complete story in my head, and I don't know where to go with it! (imagine hoving an ending but now beggining, and no middle)

if you can do stop motion good, maxy respecty! As for good actors, try the library, or try and establish a club. It's easier then a one man performance (which I could do BTW  ), pluss if you get club memebers... ...duh! It'll be EASY street to make films when you have people that are just begging to make movies!

Shyalaman is good, I'd rather be like George Lucas though (he wrote AND directed the first star wars), but I don't like his politics actually.

don't worry about my dance vid... ...my oldest bro said he couldn't find a point to it... ...and then he went and beat me at bowling, but guess what I'm happy :D know why? Because the sermon this morning was about being a happy looser!!!! :D :D :D

Also have a new fan-fic coming out soon, it'll be very special to me, because the same contest that got me into writing should be back again this year. So I'm going to write a series of short stories, post them here, and see which ones will be worthy of actual submission to the contest.

Ok I'm done!
