i just finished one called Kino's Journey. it was cool, i wish there were more episodes. its like a "story teller" type of anime, no two episodes are the same.
PS. rexacorax, your spiderman avatar is freaky O,o

I loved it, even the end. One of my friends had it spoiled for her and then she hated the series...
I recently finished Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It was a fantastic show. I'm currently looking to find a dubbed version of the original Dragon Ball (Not Z. The OG DB), and I'm almost a quarter of the way through Gantz.
I don't recommend Gantz BTW...it's a depressing, violent and nasty one. Spoiler tags will hide a few other reasons from those who don't want to read on...
Between that and the downright cheesy dubbing for the English version, I'm at the point where I'm not sure if I want to continue. XD

If you are a HUGE fan of 1980's era anime, then you MUST watch the movie Streets of Fire, since it was such an influence to the genre.
Bubblegum Crisis (original)
Megazone 23, these were such examples of anime that would have been vastly different if the movie had never existed.
I know it isn't anime, but it is related to it ina way.
As for spoilers, I never could understand how people could allow a spoiler to ruin something for them? I would rather watch it, despite hearing the rumors, so I know what happens for myself.

I liked the first series that came out, but not Bubblegum Crisis 2040.

Isn't gantz where the "Y U NO" guy came from? I remember reading some of the manga just because of that and it was pretty terrible xD

Yep...that's Gantz. XD
The initial plot in the anime version is pretty good, if not a bit slow-paced. Like...one fight takes three episodes or something.

The only anime I've watched was Death Note and Hajime No Ippo (Fighting Spirit).
Does anyone know a good "medical" anime, with hospitals and doctors?
