You forgot Godin guitars! Man those things sound amazing..

I'm not sure how people know of them though... They're a Canadian company, but highly respected up here.

I got one for christmas and I'm unbelievably happy with it.

Good to hear.

Personally, I think that Gibson's are overpriced. They're nice, but, in my experience, not worth their price when compared with other brands.

Did anyone see that WarioWare just came out? Yeah, it looks amazing.

I knew that, but I thought that I would spam the spam thread. Is that taboo?

I air guitar. It's free, and I get to use whatever brand I want.
Good point. Hey everyone, Machine Head and Chimaira are not guitars. Just in case there was some confusion when I hijacked the thread.

Air guitar is awesome. The problem is when you are actually a fairly competent guitarist and "air guitar" what you think the chords/solo would be. Oh well.

My only lifeline is the phone a friend. "Hey man, what chord is that?"

Is it a sin to consider the purchase of a Squier if it's one of the very few guitars I can find with P-90 pickups?

Actually, now that I've hacked up my Washburn and played with enough guitars, I think that I would be much more inclined to buy a cheaper guitar (with quality materials) and upgrade it then buy a much more expensive guitar that still needs help.

esophagus wrote:Yes, definitely go old and then upgrade. The new ones don't sound quite right to my ears (if that makes any sense). Plus, using an older one gives it character, and you can legally use the term "pimped out guitar".
Well said. I think I need a Strat-style guitar to complement my dark-warm PRS and my bright-yet-chunky-dropped-tuning Washburn.

I've tried selling my Washburn a few times, but I don't think I will. It's nice to have a guitar ready to go in double drop C. Good for playing metal (especially bands like Haste the Day). I might even rebuild some of it (new hardware and the like).

Guitars. :? I'm not very musical.

And I'm in a bad mood, so I'll go play Morrowind until I've calmed down a bit.
