I think CCGR would have to grow a bit more to warrant a convention, but if it was a mass Christian convention for more than just CCGR (like a Christian E3), then it could potentially happen. The CGDC (Christian Game Developer Conference) isn't quite what I'm talking about since it's a bit more business than what I have in mind. But a conference for Christians (developers, gamers, theologians, businesspeople, etc.) to get together to brainstorm the things that will improve the industry.

He can make the letters get there, have them read it, and surround them with the Holy Spirit, and fill them with His love, and then they can accept Christ into their hearts!

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then I'll tell you what I'm talking about: The Hollywood Letters (as I call them).

THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE ALL THIS SORROW FOR THEM!!!!!!!!! ALL THIS WORRY!!!!!!!!!!! "What if they don't read the letters! What if I push them away even more! What if they don't accept Jesus!"

What if what if what IF! I NEVER WANT TO HEAR WHAT IF AGAIN!!!!!!! Give it to God, man!

Ahem... Sorry... I needed to get that off my chest.... Eleven actors and actresses... I worry if they'll die before I can write the letters! This sorrow for them is so great that I'd give everything, like Mother Theresa did! I feel that besides writing, this is my calling! A ministry in Hollywood...

BAH! I have all this worry for them, and I'm trying to get a better relationship with God too! I CAN'T WRITE WHAT GOD WANTS IF I DON'T HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM!!!!

Dang... I'm sorry again... Try to put yourself in my shoes... Seeking God... School... Not being able to get pictures of Jamie Hyneman, Will Smith, Emily Browning, Mike Rowe, Sienna Guillory, etc., burning... burning... Constantly burning in hell... Seeing all of them screaming out for mercy... I cry just thinking about it!

BTW, Emily Browning is going down the path of raunchiness, just like all the actresses in Hollywood do... More worldly... More against God... But nothing is impossible with Jesus I tell you! NOTHING! I care about these people's salvation as if they were family... I can't let them go unnoticed...

Hey Count_Krazy, chill out just a hint.

Your passion for taking the gospel to Hollywood has a greater significance than you may realize. Up front, your passion to see God's grace extend to these actors is inspiring. Your passion is a passion not seen often enough in Christians for any person or group. Take heart in knowing that God must be doing something in you if you have this kind of heart for the lost.

Wait, can I take back my "chill out" comment?

Have I said that your passion has inspired me and that it is so strong that I feel such a passion stirring in me because of it? That alone is a great gift, CK. You pretty much have all the facts straight, so let me just repeat some fundamental elements of an effective Christian.

Element 1: In all your ways acknowledge Him. In order to be an effective evangelist, you have to have a thriving relationship with God. You know this, and you seem to demonstrate that you apply this element, so continue to read God's word and pray without ceasing.

Element 2: Intentional prayer for the lost. In order for your work to be effective, you have to be tuned to God's will. The easiest way to know God's will is to be in constant, and significant, communication with Him. Every effective evangelist spends abundant time before God in prayer seeking a stronger relationship with Him so that he/she can have an effective relationship (that doesn't always imply personal relationship) with the unsaved.

Element 3: Maintain vision. Never lose sight of the vision that God has given you. Remember that, even if things aren't looking up, God will ultimately lead you to success if you stay true to His calling.

Element 4: Act. If God has given you a vision to do something, then go do it. Make sure that you're constantly trying to keep God in the loop, and an eye on the particulars that He leads you to do, but just do what it is God has called you to. You don't have to know all the answers to make a stand for God and a plea for others to come to know Him. God will train you as needed as long as you keep to His plan and don't venture to far into your own ambitions that do not necessarily reflect God's purpose for you at that time.

Those are some pretty basic elements to keep in mind. Again, your zeal is impressive, and God will bless your work. It may be maddening that you can't just save the world on your own, but that's just the nature of evangelism. Don't hate yourself if you can't save the world (or Hollywood) single-handedly. Just serve God to the greatest extent you can, and He will bless you. God isn't going to expect you to do what you could not possibly do.

God will do great things in you if you stay true to Him. I really believe that, CK. Write your "love letters from God," and seek God. Be praying about your words even as you write them, as I try to when I write anything I perceive as significant on these boards.

Not all is utterly lost in Hollywood, but Christian actors and actresses selling out is too common.

By the way, when I said that your heart for Hollywood is bigger than you may have realized, I mean that Hollywood is extremely important to pop culture and is a driving force in the American mindset. Therefore, change the media makers, change the world.

I hope, and pray, that you will be successful in taking God's love to Hollywood. And I also hope, and pray, that you will not be the only one to shoulder the burden. That's another important thing to pray for: more workers. "The harvest is great but the workers so few."
