I'd say that a level creator is more like a feature.

As for an improvement to gameplay, I liked where it was in Sonic Generations. Sonic is fast, but the controls aren't sensitive to the point where you'd accidentally die just from slightly tilting the analog stick. Air combos are great as well.

It's hard for me to think of anything else, honestly. Sonic isn't very compatible to power-ups like Mario is, so it's hard to think of any real improvements.

They should just continue to focus on great level design and bring in a new experience to each game.

Sonic Colors, remember?

Well, it is pretty shifty that Sega isn't giving out any information on the next console Sonic game..........

Yeah, also don't forget the basic, fire, water and lightning shields, as well as fast shoe, and invincibility. Though I do think having Sonic say, wear a bee outfit would be pretty weird, but the WereHog and Wisps pretty much do that same thing. So I think Sega should just stick with the powerup monitors and his basic Super form.

I also hope that they bring back the other characters like Tails and Knuckles, and have them play similar to Sonic, but have special locations they can access with their own abillities (not that I want to see Tails or Knuckles with boosting ability, maybe give them Sonic Adventure speed).

By compatible I meant that Mario is superior in that aspect due to the type of gameplay that Mario games provide. They're much more unique.

In Sonic, you need to work on balancing his speed with platforming. I thought that the power-ups in Sonic Colors were a tad tedious at times, and the original speed shoes, invincibility, and shields only worked when Sonic was a 2D platformer. They don't work well in a 3D environment.

Upgrades, on the other hand, do work.

Seeing Sonic transform into something other than Super Sonic is a big plus for me (Secret Rings and the Black Knight). As for the power-ups, they're not bad at all, in my opinion. They don't kill Sonic's speed (except for the shields) or the platforming in his games.

When I can get or upgrade a PC to handle Sonic Generations,
I'll be sure to give that mod a try! :)
Be part of the answer, not part of the problem.

Yeah Generations does tend to really slow down on some stages (like Chemical Plant Zone) and I just gave the Unleashed Mod a whirl and it didn't seem to let up either (though it runs pretty nice when you're not boosting in the mod). But my computer will play Generations regardless of lag, so here are my specs:

AMD 64 bit Dual Core X2 4200+ at 2.20 Ghz
3.00 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS at 320mb VRAM
Windows 7

I could share more of my specs if requested.

For which game? Sonic Generations...or?

There is a shadow mod you might be interested in for Sonic Gen. Basically replaces Shadow in for Sonic. Its pretty sweet (I've tried it myself).

Mods are 9 times out of 10 available on PC and (occasionally) Mac, unless you have a modded console and there is a huge community for that console. Like for me, I was really into Guitar Hero 2 modding when I was younger. It's pretty much dead now.

Is the mod for PC or PS3 is what I'm asking.

Also.......is it possible to rip the iso off of a disc and put it on the PS3? OR burn it to PS3?
