Pretty sweet machines. Especially the 89 series, with it's Computer Algebra System that renders exponential functions like they appear on paper and evaluates/simplifies problems for you.
It also generates exact values for Trig functions (as opposed to decimals only), calculates common factors (handy for fractional problems), and it does Differentiation and Integration.
Also, the CAS can evaluate systems of equations, solve for one variable in terms of others, and it can solve functions with infinitely many solutions by using an arbitrary constant.
And the best part? This one is allowed on the SAT. XD (Not on the ACT sadly. Otherwise I would've bought one and blitzed through the math portion.)
Even better? It's not their best calculator either.
Nice. I've got the TI-34II. Not even sure they make that one anymore. I'm not sure what the limitations are in comparison either. IT cost me all of $15 though, so...I'm sure they're there. XD
...But it's allowed on the ACT.
Does it ever seem to you some parts of math were made up just to be annoying?
Correct me if I'm wrong, dear Deep, but it's well worth throwing a Donald Duck fit when I enter them numbers wrong in my calculator and get the wrong answer, no?
