So, for the computer build I'll have finished tomorrow, (2.4 GHz Pentium 4, 2GB DDR400 RAM, 320gb PATA HDD, XP) what do you think a reasonable asking price would be?

Well....depends on how you market it.

If you're good.....you might get 200. 300 if you can make it more appealing...somehow.

Or 400-500 if you're a business wiz. :P

Yeah...gonna have to say the least I'd let it go for is $250. Otherwise, it's just a waste of my investment. IDK, maybe I'll find a decent monitor for loose change and throw that in to sweeten the deal.

Maybe load it full of crack first?

EDIT: Craigslist has similar deals with a tiny hard drives, less ram, and a monitor going for anywhere from $250-300. I should be good. Problem is, from what it looks like, this was someones custom build they never finished/stripped clean (turns out that was a foreclosure sale...), so I don't have a name brand behind me.

Name brands don't tend to mean much with Windows computers.

You should be fine, even without a Dell or whatever.

What's the heaviest song you can listen to and actually like?

Hmm...

Depends on how you define "Heavy"

Most likely..."Her Ghost in the Fog" by Cradle of Filth. Or a song by Slayer.

For me, there's a threshold of "Heaviness" that makes the song sound awesome....or just noise. Most of the newer evolutions of Death and Black metal...hit that threshold. XD

They might not mean much to people who actually know anything...but this was craigslist. People are idiots.

Why do people think I'm "bad" for being perfectly willing to con people for profit?

Because they're too morally uptight and/or not smart enough to do it themselves.

So...got everything assembled.

And it won't start. Looks like the power supply.

Any other way of testing the PSU other than trying to jump it with a paperclip?

So the power supply won't turn on?

I don't know your situation, so I can't say this for sure but....

if you have a desktop that can be taken apart for 30 minutes, try unplugging the PSU from the desktop and plugging your PSU in. Then power it up and see what happens. If that doesn't work....then it's probably dead. Confirmation would be the jumping method, which you want to be very careful with.

On the flip side, if it does work for that.....then you may have a dead mobo.

....and if I have a dead mobo, then I get the pleasure of shooting it multiple times.

Have you considered modeling amps?

Or hands?
