game system purchase would assuredly be a 360. But I really need a nice PC. It's hard to decide which. The 360 would be about $400-600 cheaper, however.

Possibly; that would depend on your definition.
Current America? Yes. Badly. You can pretty much know this since immorality is praised in the media and lauded as wonderful. Murders are common place, and yet those who kill are looked upon as subhuman. Drugs are taken looking for a rush or for fun, and creative thought is squashed unless it fits inside a nice little pocket of view. Or it's absolutely filthy.
But...Old school America? That is win. And some people still use "old" ideas.
So America is phail, yet some people, like pockets of resistance, continue to be win.
