Why don't they just make Sonic Factory?

Hmmmm... building custom Sonic stages with the gamepad... I like.
The placement objects could be just a simple drag or tap. :)

Oh, and Lava
Your thoughts on how the gamepad could be used sounds excellent. :)

Oh and just in case your wondering, my last post kinda came off differently than I wanted it to.
(I am pretty sure more than half of my posts on this thread mention the chao garden, so I joked about me posting about it again. :P )

Just hope they make it soon- you know, the next Sonic game. Moreover, why didn't they do more add-on content for Sonic Generations. I think they could have put more levels in the game. What do you think? :eh:

This^^

That pretty much goes back to how I feel Sega doesn't invest enough time into their games post-release. They could totally do Ice Cap from Sonic 3 (since technically only Sonic & Knuckles was covered in Generations and we don't have any ice levels) or give us a legitimate Sonic CD level, instead of a minor boss level. I'm thinking something like Quartz Quadrant (the crystals would totally give that level a look distinct from any of the other levels in Generations). We were also missing Casino themed levels (excluding the pinball DLC).

I also had an idea if Sega wanted to do a "Saturn Era" DLC...I know there isn't much to work with...BUT, they could do Rustic Ruins from 3D Blast (the music alone would be worth it) or Panic Puppet (it has another enough quirks about it to set it apart from other Sonic levels)....maybe Regal Ruin from Sonic R (since we don't have any ancient \ archeological motiffs, except sky sanctuary which had a mix of both new and old), or Radiant Emerald if they didn't do Quartz Quadrant from Sonic CD, because of the cool look. Then lastly they could pick out a level that was planned for Sonic X-Treme. Putting in content from X-Treme could actually do alot to bridge the gap between that group of fans and modern fans.

Another DLC idea is to let players play as Classic Sonic in 3D levels (this can already be done with mods, but having it work legitimately would be neat). Or even giving us different Sonic skins (like Sonic Adventure 1, which was a mix between Classic and Sonic Adventure 2's model). Adding Sonic's friends would be cool too (it would be just like Sonic 3...each character plays the same levels with just differences in style and maybe some new areas only reached by characters like Knuckles \ Strong characters or Tails \ Flying characters).

There's so much untapped potential that I feel Sega is missing out on. At least the fans are doing something.

Someone should write a letter to SEGA.

I'd rather see fans do it, they have to release their stuff for free.

Son, I made a YouTube video about Sonic Factory. And I don't have enough support for it.

Not sure what kind of support you mean? (from Sega or fellow fans?) If its from Sega, that shows there's no use writing them.

If you're talking about fan support. I'd support getting involved in the mod scene and make your own levels, instead of waiting for that. Even if Sega did make a level builder, all they can do is limit your creativity...like most official level building features tend to do.

Most of the suggestions I made for Sonic Generations have been more or less done with mods...or will probably happen given fans time down the road. Its just having Sega's visual touch on projects would be cool to see and I can be lazy to get the mods set up (though with SonicGMI, they've made it pretty simple to download mods and play them).

So for instance playing different Sonic skins or his friends has already been done. I have no idea if characters like Tails can fly...but I've seen some pretty consistent skins regardless, like of Shadow.

And if all of the Unleashed levels are ported over like some of the fans plan to do, we'll get Holoska which is a pretty cool snow level and the closest thing we'll get to Snow Cap.

And I'm sure fan's custom levels are going to get better and better. Who knows, I may even try making some, it would just take some time to learn how to import my stuff.

That's cool, though there is just one problem...
I don't have a PlayStation3 or an Xbox360, and I already have Sonic Adventure Battle 2 for GameCube.
Sooo... yeah. XD

(But having SEGA re-releasing a Sonic game with a chao garden in it is always a good sign. :) )

Well I heard it will be coming on the PC later on (same with Nights).

But from what I can tell, you pretty much have the complete Sonic Adventure 2 package if you have it on the Gamecube. Unless you want HD quality (big whoop, especially since its all the same graphics as before) and \ or you want achievements.

No, it's not the same graphics. They don't call it HD for no reason, the graphics are renewed.

Sorry I wasn't too clear when I mean "graphics". They're not doing a Sonic Generations style make over to the game or anything like that. At best, they've cleaned up the model textures. But having played the new version of the game, I'd say they kept the exact same 3D models. When they say "HD" I assume they can only mean that the game has been rendered for HD resolutions.
