Christian music is just mleh for me. Yes, I AM a Christian myself, but I just find it...Well.....Boring.

I need fresh stuff, crazy stuff, THRASH stuff! That's why I listen to System. Even though I have nearly all thier songs now.....(Missing Shame, Revenga, Honey, Feel Good, Dam, Blue, Peephole, Dreaming, This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song, Lost in Hollywood, I-E-A-I-O-E [spl?], Highway Song, A.D.D, Bubbles, 36, and Solider Side intro.)

@Fred: Erm, okay. Not at all? You don't like christian music at all? I will not hold anything against you. I'm a bit of a secular listener, also, as good christian techno is scarce in these days of rock/rap. When it comes to techno, anyway. I personally don't listen to rock/rap very much(At least not as much as before), but I see talent in some Christian artists, more than some secular music, even. As a result, I listen to them. As my final chip into the conversation, I think judging simply "Christian Music" as the aforementioned and expressing that you don't like it [in general], is simplifying it way too much. There are thousands of Christian artists, and NONE that you like? An atheist I can see saying that for their own reasons/beliefs, but as a Christian I (No offense) find it a bit strange. Christian music has found its way into almost every genre of music, so it couldn't be an area as broad as that.

Care to elaborate on the subject?

I think to be honest, I'd perfer christian music over secular music for the message, but not always for the music. But the thing is, there are bands with good music, and totally offensive lyrics, and as much as their musical ability might be great, it spoils the music.

Well, see, Christian music.....Bores me. It's all too mellow. And don't try to convince me otherwise. Even Kutless is really toning down! It's just not right!

Other stuff, like SoaD or even Ashley MacIsaac, has fast pumping crazy hardcore stuff that Christan music...Well....Lacks.

That, is why I dislike Christian music. It seems as if it's a sin to play something hard and heavy nowadays. (And I don't ean like heavy metal, I mean like THRASH metal)

Even the non-thrash music I listen to isn't Christian! Like Yes and their prog rock. They are anything but thrashy, moreso complex and intelligent.

Don't think the only reason I listen to thrash is because I'm 13.

I like smart music. Stuff that makes you think. But, Christian artists like By the Tree.....It's not smart music, it's praise music.

By the Tree: "God made the heavens, yes he did.....Belive it, he did"
Yes: "Talk, the simple smile. Such platonic eye. How we drown in incomplete capacity.."

There's a difference melodiacly as well as lyrically. While groups like By the Tree are O.K, thier music is pretty straightforward and simple. Yes has music impossible to play by an amature.

Although, this does not answer my thrash obsession, it does answer that I'm not just a stupid 13 year old who listens to it because he's 13.

its ok to like all that you like .... but common dont say you dont like Chritian music at all ! Music was created in heaven to praise God and
