There was recently an incident on the ccgr server in which someone was killed for trespassing. I was wondering what other people thought of this. When I say trespass, I’m not talking about breaking and entering (which would involve griefing), I’m talking about walking through an open door into a huge territory that’s been fenced off. So, if you trespass in this manner, should the owner be able to kill you?
IMO, I don’t think trespassing is grounds for killing. Killing should ONLY be okay during mutually agreed upon PVP. If you want someone to leave, you must ask them to do so. And, if you don’t want someone in your property, it should be enclosed from all sides with lockettes on the doors.
Secondly, I thought I’d ask about some more ridiculous issues. Where in relation to someone’s property can someone dig or build? I can imagine a scenario in which someone would build huge sky cities over someone else’s property, or a scenario in which someone would dig up everything from beneath someone’s property all the way to bedrock.
IMO I think the limit to digging or building near someone’s property should be that it doesn’t significantly deface the surrounding area’s appearance. This will require some subjective judgment by OPs as to what is “significantly defacing the surrounding area’s appearance” but I think this allows maximal freedom to build and mine for respectable people. What I don’t want is people saying I can’t mine anywhere near their property.
Lemme know what you think!
