It's a Minecraft server mod. It's way superior from the vanilla one because it offers better performance and it's easier to customize with mods and such.

could we get a backpack mod that works with bukkit? its like a portable chest

is it a mod or a plugin? There's a difference. Plugins are drag and drop and work. Mods require editing the jar file which I do not want to do. plus multiple people have to be interested I'm not loading every plugin that exists on a whim.

Try it in single player for yourself and see how much of a pain it is to setup

I don't even know howto set up a server

then take my word for it, mods are pain in the butt and can mess up your game pretty good. I don't want to mess up the server.
