Hmm... Why do I keep geting time outs when I try to connect to the Minecraft server?

so there's a bit of a screwup on my part, I put a roof over the little pavilion I built where the spawn is and apparently instead of spawning inside the pavilion you spawn on the roof. I built stairs down though except I had another illegal stance apparently >_>

You might need to make it bigger aswell. I spawned 6 squares behind it. I tryed to put a sign there so you could see but it will not stay there. lol

If you guys are getting a "Connection Refused: Connect" error than mostly likely the server is down.

It's either that or the port needed for Minecraft isn't forwarded properly/wrong IP. Which I don't think is the case. But I dunno.

There's the possibility of complications with the firewall on the server too.

Saw that as I logged in. It's pretty neat.

I finished up the entrance we were working on last night. Might post screenshots later so everyone can see.

Also. Does anyone know if the sun/moon are in fixed orbits? Like the 'rises in the east, sets in the west' kind of thing? Cause with fixed points we can create a kind of map--since the game, as far as I know, doesn't have anything of the sort except for a compass--and we'd know where we were going relative to a general area. Sorta working on it now, just labeled the finished entrance the south entrance. Thinking of including a north entrance. And hopefully we can create landmarks signifying each direction.

EDIT: I placed two 'community chests' (lawl) at the entrance. Feel free to use it and grab whatever you'd like. It's just full of little things at the moment. But if you need some of it, go right ahead.

you can actually get a map of explored world chunks by using a program called Cartograph. Also, yes the sun rises in the east and sets in the west
