favorite verse: Pro 15:29 The LORD [is] far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

My prayer life isn't as good as it could be, but it's nice to know that when I pray, it's heard

2) A wholesome tongue.

3) the prayer of the upright is a delight to God.

4) In a multitude of counselors.

5) The border of the Widow.

Favorite verse: Proverbs 15: 2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

It's the first part that kind of hit me. I typically use what knowledge I have for personal gain. Or even to cause trouble. And for some reason, this struck me to check my motives. I have to work on that.

6. Proverbs 16:17 - From what does the “highway of the upright” depart? evil
7. Proverbs 16:19 - What is better than dividing the spoil with the proud? be humble spirit
8. Proverbs 16:24 - “pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”
9. Proverbs 16:32 - “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”

Favorite verse: Pro 16:18 Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

I can't help but think of the US and our economy with that verse

I really enjoyed this week's. ^_^ I found two verses I like:

16: 6 By mercy and Truth iniquity is purged; and by the fear of the LORD mean depart from evil.

That, I think, is just a really awesome verse. Mercy and truth!

And also 16: 24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

That's true, too. Even on a lousy day, someone can walk up and say something nice and it turns the whole day around.

Proverbs 17:13 - What happens to those who reward evil for good? evil shall not depart their house
11. Proverbs 17:22 - What does good like a medicine? a merry heart
12. Proverbs 17:27 - What does a man with knowledge spare? his words
13. Proverbs 17:28 - Who is counted wise when he holds his peace? a fool

My favorite verse is Proverbs 17:28 I can't tell you how many fools I have met and how many times I've wished to yell "Shut up for your own good!" hehe

Favorite verse: Proverbs 17: 5 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his maker: and he that is glad at calamites shall not be unpunished.

That kind of struck a chord in me, because I have often thought that I would be happy if the united state fell, and had to rebuild itself.

Proverbs 18:8 - Whose words are as wounds? taklebearer
Proverbs 18:14 - What spirit is difficult to bear? wounded
Proverbs 18:19 - Who is harder to be won than a strong city? a brother offended
Proverbs 18:21 - What is in the power of the tongue? death and life
Proverbs 18:22 - “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and gain favour of the LORD.”
Proverbs 18:24 - How does a man have friends? must show himself friendly

favorite verse: Pro 18:10 The name of the LORD [is] a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

That verse just bring great imagery into my mind and comfort, it reminds me of the song Shout to the Lord

3) An offended brother.

4) Death and life.

5) Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the LORD.

6) By showing himself friendly

Favorite verse: Proverbs 18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Besides being epically poetic, the verse is a reminder of how much power we have in our words. And to use them wisely.

23. Proverbs 19:18 - “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”
24. Proverbs 19:20 - How can one be wise in the latter end? hear counsel recieve instruction
25. Proverbs 19:21 - Whose counsel shall stand? the LORD's
Memory Verse: Proverbs 19:17 ~ “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay
him again.”

Favorite verse: Pro 19:14 House and riches [are] the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife [is] from the LORD.

if you got a good wife, thank God!

4) By hearing counsel and receiving instruction.

5) The counsel of the LORD.

Favorite verse: Proverbs 19:15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

I haven't really done much since finishing school save learn some guitar skills and study a bit more in my bible. I should use my time better.

3. Proverbs 20:19 - How should we deal with those who flatter? therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.

5. Proverbs 20:26 - What does a wise king do to the wicked? scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
6. Proverbs 20:27 – “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”

Favorite verse: Pro 20:17 Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

So often it feels good to do wrong but then we regret it

Favorite verse: Proverbs 20: 24 Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?

I love this verse, another translation is "The Lord determines mans steps, so who can understand his own path?" it reminds me hat God has a plan for everyone, and that I can trust him.
