I would advise digging UNDER all of the sand a couple layers with a really wide trench. Put torches under the sand above, and then use an efficiency pick and run back and forth like a crazed chicken, mining the blocks out from under the sand and causing them to fall onto the torches and turn into items you can pick up.

I've used that technique before... It works really well!

na i just wanted to say a server...but actually yes!! we can hold the hunger games there!!!!! my server runs on hamachi tho, so only hamachi people could go on the server. BUT DUDE U R AWESOME IDEAS MAN
i guess i'll start a thread for sign up for the hunger games requests? not sure if im aloud tho, ill ask an admin

So the other day I was thinking about the hunger games rite? then it hit me. i should make an hunger games arena!! I was wondering what u guys think about it. if i get enuff positive input, i may be alouud to create the arena and hold events. plz comment and tell me what u think. i will jot down all ideas to create the ultimite arena experience if u like?
