Cantore needs help with connection:

Hi everyone... I have a problem:

I have a program installed on my computer that blocks ads, pictures, porn, etc. I have recently installed this to keep the eyes of myself and my family from seeing too much stuff that slips through even on 'good' websites.
I've made a whitelist as to exactly where I usually go, and I am currently setting this up to run smoother than it has been as of yesterday.

So, the issue I have is that now I have to somehow Unblock the Minecraft Launcher. I've unblocked Minecraft.net, and the wiki, and the forums. However, I don't know how to unblock the Launcher because I don't exactly know WHERE it's trying to connect (It's not just Minecraft.net). If I can figure this out, I can play again. It may be Javax.net; or maybe somewhere more specific. I don't know... Can anyone find this out for me? I can't really search the net for this information. Thanks in advance!

Can someone please post on the Minecraft Forums/Support, and see if you can find out EXACTLY where it's trying to connect right when you hit the Login Button on the initial login screen??

I can't even log into that to find out.. although I can read it.. wierd.

Now I know why whitelists don't work well! sheesh

I ended up with giving up with the Whitelist all-together. It was blocking so much that there was not a single website that didn't require other links to be added in order for the website to function remotely, and it was STILL all locked up.. to the point where it was becoming pointless to have internet at all with such settings. So, I ended up turning the Whitelist off, and just blocking all search engines, including Twitter, Myspace, and wikipedia. It is a little locked up, yes, but at LEAST it's not letting any garbage through, and it's still functional.
