SteelSeries Announces Partnership with Painkiller and Quake Champions Legend, Sander “Vo0” Kaasjager

SteelSeries to officially sponsor Kaasjager and partner on product development.

CHICAGO – October 19, 2017 – SteelSeries officially announced its new sponsorship of Sander “Vo0” Kaasjager today. Kaasjager is the most successful Painkiller players in the game’s history and one of the world’s elite Quake Champions duellers. SteelSeries and Kaasjager will work alongside each other on the professional esports circuit and as partners in innovative product design and development.

With Kaasjager’s unique perspective of being a former two-time World Champion, Esports Player of the Year, and a fully qualified mechanical engineer, he will work with SteelSeries extensively on the development of future products. He will help guide and validate the products, whilst providing direct competitive feedback daily. As a world champion, Kaasjager knows what esports professionals need in a product and won’t accept any substitute.

“I’ve been using SteelSeries products my entire career,” said Kaasjager. “They’ve been the only brand I’ve trusted in the competitive environment, so it’s an honor to join the team to help SteelSeries innovate and bring the highest-performing esports peripherals to gamers everywhere.”

This weekend, Kaasjager heads to Dreamhack Denver to compete in the Quake Champions finals for a shot at the $75,000 prize pool.

Fans and followers across SteelSeries and Kaasjager’s Twitter, Instagram and Facebook will be able to see even more about the collaboration with SteelSeries, as the partnership continues to unfold in the coming months.
