I really don't see why not except for two things:

1. It can't end up like the Mature Discussion Area. *sigh* That was horrible.

Moving on, I'm unconvinced we need a "mature section". Kids could still get in (I mean COME ON, who hasn't lied about their age), and I have a feeling it would get ugly fast.

Ohhhh child...it would take years to fully explain the Mature Discussion forum.

It was fully, painfully, ignominiously stupid and a fine example of why the world is in the state it is in. The very worst and the very best of the forums arguments, fights, spats, friendship endings, flatulence...it was the end all black hole for political or religious arguments packaged as semi polite discussion and ending in "Well, clearly you're just not intelligent/mature/experienced/old enough to understand me OR THIS TOPIC". Or the ever popular "If you *actually* understood what I was saying ('pompous brat' implied) you'd agree with me. Because you disagree, CLEARLY you don't know what you're talking about". And let us not forget "You're just a conservative because your parents are, brick brained monkey lump" or "Empty headed liberal that believes whatever the news channel feeds you".

Ah yes. Combined with the, gratefully dead 'current events' forum, it encompassed a large majority of opinions on incredibly 'relevant and important' idiotic/unneeded conversations that ended nowhere and usually started there too, amazingly enough. Any kind of 'srs face' discussion (it degenerates the term to apply it here) was placed in there to...discuss. It either ended in verbal violence, screaming 12 year olds (or self-superior 27 year olds), or someone claiming everything was a matter of opinion and reality was subjective.

It was, in short, the reason I gave up politics and now try to burn down the system and smite all who support it. *twitch*

Though for the record, it was not intended to be such a place, and CCGR specifically, multiple times, lead a mighty charge in an attempt to redeem it and turn it into what its name implied. In the end, it was a like a Necromorph infested space station: there is no reclamation, only burnination to save the universe.

And this post...only scratches the surface. If it was scratch-n-sniff, you'd barely catch a whiff. Soooooo many members left, or filed complaints, or got grumpy because of what happened in there.

I mean really, the only thing you posted was just a scary video.

Instead how about this,
Next time someone who posts a video that's scary, put it in a spoiler and warn people that it's scary.
So the people have only them self to blame for watching it.

I mean this has been done before. (with yogcasts' Minecraft videos that had language.)

I think it's a good idea. As long as it's not mature discussions of the past.

Let's face it....there's a crapton more kids here than there has been since back when i joined. Will some lie about their age? Yep. Know I used to back in the day. And still do, if I'm buying pistol ammo and the idiot behind the counter doesn't think to card me. But even then...it's on their own heads if they get scared, they won't just randomly stumble into something.
