STEAM games - What games do you have?

Postby Graej » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:20 pm

I know that we have a steam group and such, but you never know what games people have and which ones they love the most, etc. I'm listing out what I have, as I made the list to keep track of them for when people ask me what games I have, and a few notes here and there. what games do you all have? mines a long list. maybe just list the ones you like. lol

Anyways, these are the games I have, if anyone in the steam group wants to play anything. please note that I am partial to my earth defence force game. that game is just plain awesome. let me know if you all want to play anything I have.

A.R.E.S - hardly every play..
Amnesia: the Dark Descent - got this as part of the latest indie humble bundle, but not very into scary games.
And Yet It Moves! - neat game, but didn't hold my attention long.
Arma II Free - eventually planning on getting Arma II and the Day Z mod (Day Z seems like it would be cool)
Atom Zombie Smasher! - hardly ever play it
Avadon: The Black Fortress - started out on the demo. it lets you bring your demo saves over to full game. kinda nice.
Bastion - fairly fun, but only just started playing it
BIT.TRIP RUNNER - neat music based game, but haven't spent a lot of time with it.
Blocks that matter - need spin off/take on block games.
booster trooper - I really want to play this with some friends but I have only messed with it a bit. (side scrolling shoot em up - multiplayer only)
braid - got this as part of a bundle, have already played it through a good bit on xbox live arcade.
breath of death VII - haven't really touched it. it was bundled.
burn zombie burn - kinda of a neat prequel to All zombies must Die, which is on my wishlist.
capsized - wonderful game, beautiful music. the music in the demo sold me on it.
cave story - I have this on my 3ds, but this version is suppose to have more to it.
cogs - puzzle games.. not bad but i loath them only because everywhere I look on steam it's PUZZLE GAMES. :)
cossacks: back to war - played this a bit, but not good at managing things in these games.. my troops die :( poor chaps..
crayon physics deluxe - um. it was for the kid.. really <.< >.>
Cthulhu saves the world - played a bit, nice retro rpg.. cute humor i suppose.
Earth Defense Force: insect Armageddon - LOVE THIS GAME, I cannot recommend it enough. if you get it. message me so we can play. 4 player co-op
Skyrim - clocked over 180 hours so far in this game. mostly go back now to mess with player mods.
Fallout - i can't get this game to work.. shame. Have heard wonderful things about it.
Fallout 2 - same sorta scenario as fallout. no workie real well on my system.
Fallout tactics - haven't tried it, want to try first two first.
Fallout 3 - played a good bit of this, but I think it's a non steam game I bought.
Fallout new vegas - got this on steam.. neat but sorta more of the same as fallout 3
Frozen Synapse - very neat concept, just haven't really tried it multiplayer yet.
Garry's Mod - it's Gary's Mod, what else can be said.
Cratuitous Space Battles - really haven't played this one yet. I get bundles of games and end up not playing them until much later.
The great art race - bah. some game that came bundled with something I wanted.
Greed Corp - need concept. pretty sure this one has multiplayer. kind of a cute hex turn based game.
half-life 2: all the stuff with orange box - where's my crowbar..?
Hammerfight - interesting idea. but man playing it just hurts.. play it for a bit, you'll understand.
hydrophobia: prophecy - love the physics in this game, but only single player.
jamestown - old school top down space cowboy shooter. (I miss you Firefly.. *sniff*)
just cause 2 - one of my favorite games in the world.. sandbox, take down a foreign dictatorship.. *sigh* no multiplayer
L.A. Noire - tried this because I thought rockstar would never make a linear game. feels very linear to me. so far.
Left 4 Dead 2 - zombies. most people know this game well.
LIMBO - neat game. eventually I will get through it. kinda dark. (ha!.. kinda?)
Lone Survivor - haven't tried it yet. was part of indie humble bundle
Machinarium - story driven puzzle game anyone? like starring at a bunch of junk on the screen and clicking like mad to see if any of it's useful?
Magicka - good game, but only really fun with multiplayer. silly, BOOM, combine spells BOOM oops. sorry guys..
Metro 2033 - enjoyed this, but it's single player. somewhat scary.
Nightsky - neat puzzle game.
Osmos - pretty. but didn't hold my attention long
Patrician III - .... my cities die.. no good at managing this stuff
Portal - this is a triumph
Portal 2 - this is even more of one..
Psychonauts - enjoying this but it's an old game from xbox days. decided to see what all the fuss was about. cool thing.. guy who did invader zim does the main voice. love it.
Realm of the Mad God - very interesting take on an mmo. and it's free! crazy top down 8 bit clicky clicky!
Revenge of the Titans - tower defense. not my thing but a really pretty game, art style wise.
Rochard - loved this game, highly recommend it. but remember, it's only 10 hours long. period. not 10 hours and 1 minute or 9 hours and 59 seconds. I completed it in exactly 10 hours.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat - good series, I think this one was the best of them, but i havent played the others much. should have played them in order.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky - didn't get to far into this one. didn't like it
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl - this is the first one, i played it a bit but didn't like it as much as pripyat.
Section 8: Prejudice - love this game. sorta fell off peoples radar but I liked it. mostly multiplayer.
Shadowgrounds - top down monsters jump out at you and get a shotgun in the face. pardon me, i need to go get a change of pants.
Shadowgrounds: Survivor - more monsters! yay.. wait. nevermind.
Shank - don't care for the over the top violence (odd I know given the list of games) but something about the simple art but extreme killing. :(
Snuggle Truck - fun game for the kids. but the original was a.. not so politically correct game. so they changed it to stuffed animals. came in a bundle.
Space pirates and Zombies - played a bit of this. neat, but a bit slow going. (to start with)
SPiral Knights - Free to play, looks neat, but i haven't gotten to really play it yet.
Star Wars: Knights of the old republic - it's kotor..
Star Wars: The Force unleashed II - wee! look at me i'm very angry about being a clone! pretty on the pc though.
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution - love this game. way way too short. (like maybe 5 hours or something) highly recommend it. it haz multi
Super Meat Boy - very neat game. have it for 360 and pc.
superbrothers: Sword & sworcery EP - just got this in indie humble bundle. kinda neat
Swords and Soldiers HD - not very good imo
Team Fortress 2 - it's TF2..
Terraria - don't really care for it because I can't make a house and live. stuff keeps breaking through and getting me.. heh
Transformers: War for Cybertron - not a great game, but it's transformers, and it was cheap. :)
Trine - very very fun game.
Universe Sandbox - ooh . earth go boom now..
VVVVVV - not quite gotten into it yet.
X2: The Threat - thought it would be neat but.. space. where no one can hear you feel regret.. (too use to eve online. solo player feels empty)
X#: Reunion - see former game.
Zen Bound 2 - tie stuff up and paint it. interesting concept.

STEAM games. STEAM, the online distribution thing?

I have no Steam games as my laptop is rather archaic.

Postby cvhack » Wed Sep 19, 2012 10:58 pm

Here goes nothing....

Battlefield: BC2 - second most played
Borderlands - most played game
Borderlands 2 - fun stuff
Call of Duty
Call of Duty 2
Cal of Duty 4: MW
Call of Duty: United Offensive
Call of Duty: World at War -combo pack good sale for all of them
Chrome
Chrome: Specforce -Both of these for 1.99, why not
C&C4: Tiberium Twilight - quite the letdown after the 3rd
C&C: Red Alert 3 - ok
C&C: Red Alert 3 - Uprising - just ok
CS:Source - I really stink at this, but fun
Darwinia - combo pack, 6 minutes played...
DEFCON - think same combo, this is fun
Defense Grid: The Awakening - yes I did buy this to get the achievements on one of the holiday things
TES IV: Oblivion - already have it on the xbox, but steam had it and all dlc for cheap
TES V: Skyrim - haven't been able to get into it as much, but think it was half off
Empire: Total War - love this game and series
Evil Genius - cool kind of different game
Fable III - sales again...need to finish it
Fallout: New Vegas - same as above
Guild Wars - think this was all for real cheap...but haven't played it tons, not as into it as I initially expected
Hearts of Iron III - now this is a good game...and mods are fun too
Homefront - one of the games I wish I hadn't preordered. Good but short campaign, multiplayer gave me issues
L.A. Noire Complete - sale again, need to finish, but have trouble with the interviews...
L4D2 - got it after playing it with a friend
Mass Effect - can you say sales again?
Mass Effect 2 - ^^^and I thought I might like it better
Men of War - good sale, and really good game
Men of War: Assault Squad - sale again, haven't spent as much time in this as the others
Men of War: Red Tide - same, good single player stuff
Metro 2033 - think this was a preorder bonus for Homefront...kind of eh...
Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword - have Warband via Amazon...would totally recommend it
Multiwinia - bundle sale as before, only 15 minutes
Napoleon: Total War - again, love this series
Nuclear Dawn, sale..fun interesting concept
PAYDAY: The Heist - lots of fun and a challenge, but gets repetitive quick
Portal - Free, and fun, need I say more?
Portal 2 - sale and I waited too long
Red Faction: Guerrilla - sale, fun, need to finish
Section 8: Prejudice - got for the concept, need to finish it...and it was on sale
Sid Meier's Civ 5 - uncle talked me into it...not big on it...but it was on sale
Silent Hunter III - one of the first games I got, really interesting and fun
Space Empires V - first game I bought, 3rd most played...good game
SpaceChem - steamgifts...haven't played.
Star Ruler - new dev, looked ok, and was on sale so I figured I'd support them
Star Wars EAW: Gold - I never got corruption, and it went on sale
Star Wars: KOTR - awesome game
Supreme Commander 2 - very good game, and sale...
Supreme Ruler 2020: Gold - sale, but not worth it
Team Fortress 2 - free, so why not
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: AW
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: AW2
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder (think all these were in 1 pack for a good price)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas - good tactical game
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 - I determined to wait until after I beat the first...still waiting
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction - not a fan of all of it, and due to drm fails I lost my save so irritated with it
Torchlight - awesome game, and cross-platform!
Total War: Shogun 2 - I think I've said I love this series
Tribes: Ascend - free, eh...
Tropico - fun sim game
Tropico 2: Pirate Cove - combined pack for a good price
Tropico 3: Steam Special Edition
Tropico 3: Absolute power - came with T3:SSE
Tropico 4: no real major changes, but on sale and improved over the 3rd
Uplink - this and defcon were the reasons for the bundle
Warhammer 40k DoW 2
Warhammer 40k DoW 2: Chaos Rising - these went on sale and I had heard of them but never played, decided to give it a chance
Warhammer 40k Space Marine - ok game
X3: Terran Conflict - didn't buy on steam, but good game...
Dota 2 - just got the invite a couple days ago

Those are installed...

Europa Universalis III - not similar enough to Hearts of Iron for me
Evochron Mercenary - I have a thing for space games and am constantly disappointed
Garry's Mod - this really counts as a game?
Half Life 2
Half Life 2: Deathmatch - NVIDIA thing
Half Life 2: Lost Coast - NVIDIA thing
King Arthur - The Role-playing wargame - similar to the total war games
Rise of Immortals - free
Shadowgrounds: Survivor - steamgifts
Spiral Knights - free
Swords and Soldiers HD - free
Theatre of War 3: Korea - the biggest waste of money I've made..but on sale...

So yes, lots of stuff, but I paid full price for almost none of it...even stuff like Borderlands 2 was preordered with a 10% discount and the bonus stuff...

Also Krytae, how did you get the different categories for your games? I haven't figured that out yet.
