So really you're discussing Predestination as a opposed to complete Free Will.
From what I read and study, I'm certain that God has predestined all of us for heaven. But most of us have rejected him so that we can shape our own future. We are given a choice and the predestination that Paul talks about in several letters is actually what God has desired for us. When they use words like the Elect or the Chosen... everyone is chosen, it's a matter of who is choosing Him back.
-If life hands you llamas, make ponchos.
-I imagine Jesus walking into a home and leaving the door open.
When the guest asks in frustration, "What's the matter with you? Were you born in a barn?"
He simply replies, "Yes I was."
